Movie Number One

A firehouse and an ambulance
A gatekeeper and Zool
Be careful not to cross the streams
It really isn't cool.

For some people this was darn near impossible, for others it was easy peasy.

This is a movie that featured a group of heroes who had an old firehouse for their base, and who drove around in an old ambulance.

They used some very high tech equipment to help counter an increase in ghostly activity, and crossing the streams of energy that emanated from their gear was supposed to be "very bad!".

The evil character trying to take over the world was Zool, Rick Moranis played a goofy accountant who was taken over and became the "Gatekeeper"

The movie was of course the hilarious action comedy hit from 1984, Ghostbusters.

Movie Number Two

A storm, a fall, and in a dream
A house flies way up high
To a world that's filled with colors
And where you might weigh a pie.

I was a little bit naughty here with a very cryptic clue, but nevertheless quite a few people managed to figure this movie out as well.

A young girl falls during a bad storm, and in her dream her house flies way up high, in fact so high it goes over the rainbow.

This 1939 movie begins in black and white, but when the house lands, and she opens the front door, everything is in glorious technicolor.

As for where you might weigh a pie, that is my little bit of trickery. So where might you weigh a pie? Over the rainbow of course! Still confused? Let me make it easier for you...

Somewhere over the rainbow
Weigh a pie

The movie of course you must know by now, it's the wonderful Wizard Of Oz starring the lovely Judy Garland.

Movie Number Three

A matrimonial entertainer
Loses girl and finds another
Sings a love song on an airplane
Grandma raps in front of others

This was the easiest of the lot for some people but still confused others.

With it being about a matrimonial entertainer, that was a real giveaway for a start.

Adam Sandler is the star of the movie. His fiancee Linda decides not to turn up on his wedding day, and he goes through a spiral of depression with some hilarious scenes, meantime meeting Julia, played by Drew Barrymore.

In one of the final scenes Julia and her fiancee, who is an evil character not worthy of her, leave to get married in Las Vegas, pursued by Adam Sandler who sings her a love song mid flight.

If you haven't seen this wonderfully funny movie, including the scene where an old lady raps in front of a crowd of wedding guests, then I won't spoil it for you further.

The movie is of course the 1998 hit for Adam Sandler, The Wedding Singer.

I hope you enjoyed these, I am sure that most of you can work out all three movies.
I am working on sequels, so get out and watch some old movie and brush up on your movie trivia.
