What Are the Newest Fashion Colors for Spring 2011

Malina Debrie
Fashion colors for spring 2011 are definitely different. They encompass some of the most demur yet boldly unique blends with soft and subtle hues that connect with the tropics cascading through the sensual tones of natures fruit yet delving deep into the currents that flow in the oceans depths.

The fashion colors are mysterious, yet aquatic, stormy yet magnetic, anemic yet refreshing. They saturate yet transcend. Fashion and the colors of spring are mystic and bold with everything and anything in style.

Archaic Garden Colors

Chalky clays, mud tones dominate the spring colors described as Archaic Garden Colors which are those that are more distinctive of the class of stones, creamy whites, fruits and can be described as somewhat delicate. They are colors that seem more softened and faded with effervescent sheens in addition to reflective tones. They are light, serious colors. The person who like florals, pastels, and pinks or soft tones will enjoy and appreciate Archaic Garden Colors.

Underwater Variations

Subdued aqua green, mild marine blues, sea anemone pink, rainbow pink, dispersed dishwater blue, stormy day black, murky purples, charcoal brown, misty pink, bird nest green are just a few on the tones associated with Underwater Variations. The Underwater Variation colors are demur and understated. If you like soft reflective tones, you will enjoy wearing Underwater Variations.

Tropical Dramaturgy

Full bloom colors that are intense seem to be dominating the scene also. Colors such as bright yellows, oranges, reds, browns, violets, gold, sienna and teal are making the rounds on the runway. The tones are blasted throughout outfits and evenly dispersed in flowers and starburst, on linen, jute, basket weaves, cheesecloth and panama fabrics. Designers are using loose jersey with printed stripes, dotted jacquard fabrics and designs, burnout fabric, appliques and even patch camouflage designs. Reptile patterns are also making a comeback.

Enchanted Picnic

Enchanted Picnic tones makes one want to run out to the fair and grab a bag of cotton candy. The colors are those such as pinks, lavenders, limes and mints with mixes of clays and white, grays, green tapestry and beige. When wearing these tones, mix and match or wear them as a monochromatic outfit. Cookie cutting might not make the perfect outfit, but one tone from head to toe might just make a striking combination and slim profile.

Shadowy Shores

Chocolate, mud red, bricks, clay, cobalt blue and deep gray are just the right tones for the executive. These colors and tones can be enhanced by adding the perfect accessories such as pearl necklaces and large bold earrings or rings. Even a few gold pieces placed just right along with the perfect pair of shoes and purse can make these tones work. While they might not work well alone, adding the perfect complimentary color or piece can do wonders. Ask the salesperson for help if you need it or just browse the store or aisle for that perfect accessory.

oh, dear, these colors sound like they are designed for a nunnery. I want brilliance.Give me back the peacock colors :) Sounds like I will be able to get some great deals on closeouts for these colors, though, and have them for fall, when nature is gaudy and brilliant :) Thanks for the great info and fantastic article.

I'm with Abby. I like reds, blacks and bright colors. Some of the new spring color combinations sound intriguing, though.

I hope that we see some nice fresh colors this Spring, not more outlandish ones. Nice job.

I'm a red, black, white person, or most bright colors...no pastels here.

I've always been fascinated how names affect peoples' emotions. Advertisers for diet foods use words all the time - especially for low calorie items. Guys aren't into names nearly as much. A green bean is a green bean with them. Who's right? I'm sure I can't say...

I'm still clothes shopping at the Thrift Store - I hope some of these colors make it there while they are still in fashion :) LOL cheers
