What to Do at Night in Topeka, Kansas

When the lights go down in the capital city some people go to bed, others take advantage of the night life. From dancing, bowling, pool, parties and so much more, the quiet city of Topeka opens its doors an night to anyone that wants to be adventurous.

Any time during the week you are visit a bar, have a drink and sit and chat with friends. The Boobie Trap Bar is the place to be if you like music you can go to their website at any time and see all the live bands that they have any time during the week. My favorite time is on Mondays when they have Karaoke, and if you are into drinks you can enjoy screwdrivers all night long for only $2.00. If that is not your scene and you are into dancing the night away then I might suggest one of the many local clubs in town. The most known is the Electric Cowboy which is located in Topeka and many other towns across the Midwest. Unlike other clubs the Electric Cowboy is only open, Wednesday- Sunday from 7:30pm-2:00am. The daily specials are usually always the Same unless there is a special competition going on or something that is posted on their website. Wednesdays are college night with a cover charge of $5.00, Thursday are all request music of choice with $2.00 cover charge, Friday is ladies night where ladies get your groove on for free all night long, guys if you want to see them you have to pay $4.00 cover charge. Saturday is anything goes where you can wear your cowboy boots or your halter top and get your dance on. Sunday is the day off pool tournaments free cover. If you are into more of hands on approach to things there is Shooters and many other pool halls that are open from about noon to 3am every night for your pool enjoyment. If nothing above gets your going there is always go karts, mini golf, driving ranges and much more at the 3 sports centers in Topeka (http://www.sportscenterinc.com/, West Ridge Lanes & Family Fun Center to name just a few), or even Cyber Bowling which is on Saturdays at the local bowling alleys http://www.gagebowl.net/, offering no thrills every other night .
