Here are ten ideas of what to do when you find yourself in this situation:
1. Take a break. Sometimes, you just have to take some time off. Maybe you need to watch some old movies, or curl up with a good book. Or, maybe you just need to do nothing at all but sit in your recliner and relax while drinking lemonade. This can refresh you.
2. Go somewhere relaxing. Take a day trip to a state park or go somewhere like the beach. Water has a very relaxing effect. Scenic places also will do the trick. This can help your mind unwind, and get you back and ready to write!
3. Take part in an event related to a topic you wish to write about. If you are having trouble coming up with what to write, go to an event. If you write about sports, try going to a new sporting event and write about that. Go to a dog race or a horse race or something totally unique, for example.
4. Try writing on a new topic. If you have written one hundred articles on fish, try something else. Figure out another area in which you have experience, and develop ideas. If you have always known alot about cooking, try writing some recipe articles. If you happen to know all there is to know about lawn mowers, take a stab about this type of article.
5. Find ways to relax. Sometimes, you can get too wrapped up in your writing and get stressed out by it. You need to relax. Go get a massage or do some stretching exercises. You could even go running to let off some steam.
6. Ask for help. Talk to other content producers and get some suggestions. Or, they may have ideas on what they did when they just couldn't write.
7. Sit down at the computer and make a brainstorm list. This can often be helpful, because you free your mind to think of any topic that comes to mind. You may come up with things that you never would have thought of if you hadn't allowed yourself to just let any idea come to the surface.
8. Do something else for a week or so. If you really can't write, maybe you need to do something else. Take a vacation, or pick up a new short term hobby. Getting away from the writing can be just what you need to motivate you to write again!
9. Get some sleep. Sometimes, a good night's sleep can get you back on track. If you're tired, the ideas may not come as quickly.
10. Take care of yourself. Try eating well, drinking lots of fluids, and exercising for a couple of days. This will reinvigorate you, which should help the ideas flow.
