What to Do with Old Fashion Magazines

Jet
Remember when you bought those magazines? How many words popped out to you on the front cover or how great the model on the front looked. Yeah, I'm easily caught by the fashion magazine trap too. You bring them home, smelling the sweet scent of the ridiculously priced perfume samples and you flip through every single page, scanning for any coupon or article that might make your life a little bit easier. After the brief infatuation, you're left with a hunk of glossy paper.
Instead of throwing it away, here are some things you can do with it:

1. Recycle it
- One of the most obvious solutions, but its also a good one. Gather up all those old magazines and drop them off at your local recycling center.

2. Make Fresheners
- Those perfume samples' scent can last forever! Cut them out and stick them in your sock drawer, locker, winter boots, linen closet, or car. Believe me, you'll be smelling expensive everywhere you go.

3. Make Paper dolls
- If you have a young daughter at home who is craving some entertainment, help her out and make her paper dolls. Cut out any picture that shows the entire body (clothed, of course), carefully cut the head off of the model, and have your daughter( or cousin, niece, granddaughter) rearrange the outfit to any head she chooses.

4. Donate Them
- Libraries and schools appreciate any free reading material. Give them a call and ask if they could use any extra magazines for that particular department. Make sure the soon to be donated magazines don't contain any explicit information, torn pages, or markings/writings.

5. Make a Website Book
- If you saw a particular shirt or handbag you simply loved, write down the website! Look through all your magazines and when you see an item you really like ( and can afford!), write down the website in a small journal. You can refer to it later and check out their stuff. If you like it, you can buy it and have a unique resource for loved ones' Christmas presents!
