If you are in Pensacola on Columbus Day and want to experience our nations' mark of distinction, visit NAS Pensacola. Pensacola is a city that always has something interesting going on that glorifies our history. Of course, it is not like New York, Cincinnati, Detroit, New Orleans or some of the larger more exciting cities, but it is a city that has a lot to offer. Our military men and women are Pensacola's pride. If you are interested in culture, excitement, movies or anything regarding the history of the Navy, the Blue Angels, our men and women of honor or any phase of our Naval aviation history, NAS Pensacola is one of this areas must sees.

The Pensacola National Naval Aviation Museum

Located on Pensacola's own Naval Air Station is one of the world's largest aviation museums. With more than 150 restored military and historic aircraft, military exhibits, and more than four thousand Navy, Marine and Coast Guard historical military artifacts, Pensacola's NAS Museum is a must see when in the area. While visiting the museum, it is not unlikely that you will hear and see the Blue Angels Precision Flying Team at practice. In addition, the Blue Angels have regular performances scheduled in Pensacola from March through the end of November each year. Children will never be more awestruck than when observing the team during their performances or even watching as the team flies performing one of their Top Gun Air Combat exhibitions.

IMAX Theater

After viewing and touring the NAS National Naval Aviation Museum, take time out to watch a movie at the NAS IMAX Theater. View movie trailers, special airings and regular movie features. The IMAX is presently featuring "The Magic of Flight" which tells the history of flight from man's beginning to modern day space travel. The show is narrated by Tom Selleck. You can view this feature film from 11 am til 3 pm daily. Our area is where we love and are proud of the amazing skills of the Blue angels. We are proud to be the home of this amazingly skilled group of military heroes. They are skilled at tactical maneuvers no other elite team will attempt. The Pensacola naval Museum offers everything from the history of the Blue angels to the present day elite team members.

Cubi Bar Cafe'

End your day with a trip to the Cubi Bar Cafe'. The Cubi has been opened and serving the military elite in addition to guest since 1996. Not only will you enjoy delicious menu items, the cafe displays a history of the area outlined on the walls and decor. Artifacts, memorabilia and an enormous period of history in art and figurines are displayed throughout the Cubi. Open from 10:30 am til 3 pm, The Cubi serves soups, salads, deli sandwiches and desserts. Menu items are named to demonstrate our honor, love and loyalty to our military.
