What is a Police Government Auction?

Laura Frost
Police government auctions are auctions held by the government who have seized houses, cars and such things from people. It's actually a great way to buy used, cheap cars and homes. However, some people are very wary when it comes to a Police government auction. This is because of the people who once owned the car or house that has been seized. There is always a worry about that person coming back to claim his car. This doesn't happen very often and is most unlikely that the person will even be able to find there old car. But just in case, you always want to be careful.

A police government auction for cars provides a very good selection of cars. You can find many makes and models of a variety of colors.

Here are some great tips to finding a good car for you at a police government auction:

You will want to be sure that you inspect the car very well to make sure it's running correctly. Check the insides and also make sure you check online if you can to make sure that you are getting your money's worth from the card.

Be sure you read all the auction rules, because not every police auction you go to has the exact same rules.

You will want to make sure you have both cash and you identification card. You will need your identification card at the end of the auction when it is time to fill out paperwork. Most auctions only accept cash.

For seized property, it may be a little different then car auctions. This could be anything from something as big as real estate to something as small as jewelry. You can also find art, boats, bikes and computers. These items are marked down very low to be sold off to those who which to obtain them, like a big yard sale.

Most people who decide to buy from police auctions find themselves becoming richer in the process because they take the products that they have bought and resell them, at a higher price. Most people actually make a living off of doing this.

Police government auctions exist so that the police and government can get rid of some of the evidence they have confiscated during an arrest and trial of a person. It is hardly possible that the owners are found once these items are collected therefore space becomes very low for other evidence that comes in.

Police government auctions are a very cheap way to get the things you might need. You can literally get a car for a few hundred dollars and other things for your house for a very low price. It's just like going to a yard sale, only difference is, is that you are upping your price to get it from other people.
