I have been seeing Prevention's Flat Belly Diet all over the Internet and I was curious what this new diet was all about. I, along with millions of other women (and men) seem to have that protruding belly, that no amount of dieting seems to affect, no matter how hard I try. Hopefully, Prevention's Flat Belly Diet will be something that we all can stick to and live with, that will actually work. You may find the complete diet on Prevention's website at http://www.prevention.com/cda/categorypage.do?channel=weight.loss&category=flat.belly.diet This is just a little information on Prevention's Flat Belly Diet to help you decide if this very popular diet is something that you might like to try.

The flat belly diet is directed to eating and thinking your way thin. It seems to be a two step program where the first step consists of including one food containing monounsaturated fat (MUFA) at each meal, eat 4 meals per day consisting of 400 calories each, at 4 to 5 hour intervals. The second step is changing your attitude to wards food and eating. Managing stress, seeking moral support and keeping a food diary to help you recognize binge eating. With this flat belly diet, it is even claimed that exercise is optional!

Monounsaturated fat called, MUFA for short, comes from oils found in healthy foods such as, olives, nuts and avocados, Researchers have found that certain types of dietary fat can target certain areas of the body. It has been found that MUFA rich foods can help lose weight and body fat without lowering your caloric intake, and that eating a breakfast high in MUFAs can boost your calorie burn for up to 5 hours after your meal!

There are also other health benefits that associated with Mufa rich foods. This type of food can help control type 2 diabetes, lower your LDL "bad" cholesterol levels while boosting the HDL "good" cholesterol levels. This type fat also helps to reduce markers of inflammation, which is a trigger for aging and disease.

This flat belly diet seems very easy to stick with. The foods that you are allowed are all reasonable, there really are few restrictions. There is no fasting, you are allowed to eat 4 meals a day. I may have found a diet that I will benefit from, the flat belly diet even includes chocolate as one of the Mofu rich foods that you are allowed to eat! If you are in need of losing belly fat, the flat belly diet seems to be a healthy, easy to follow diet that deserves a closer look. Check out the website at the top of this article for all of the information that you need to get started. I have book marked the page for quick reference, as I start this flat belly diet tomorrow! I will keep everyone posted as to my results.
