What is Your Relationship with Money?
For a Lucky Few, Their Family Put an Emphasis on Saving at an Early Age
For most of us, dealing with money is a struggle. We are bombarded by advertisements for the latest product that will make us look and feel wonderful, beautiful, sophisticated, whatever. For those with an emotional emptiness to fill,
shopping will give us temporary relief, until we get the bill. By the time we get the bill that temporary relief has worn off, and we are even further in the hole.
Why is it that we are unable to save, or at least pay off the bills? Are you underemployed and feel unable to do anything about it? If you are stuck in a dead-end job or a declining industry, you need to assess where you are, it may be time to dust off some old dreams.
Thanks to the Internet, there are a variety of ways you can make money online. Many people are surprised what hidden dormant talents they have once they start taking charge of their own future. You might think, there is no way I can do anything else since I am so deeply in debt. Well, staying where you are assures that you stay where you are. You must think outside the box, and start trying new things no matter how slowly. Some day, retirement will be looming on the horizon, and you will have nothing to show for it.
Maybe the lack of support from friends and family is a problem, as perhaps they have a vested interest in keeping you where you are. All you can do is hope that relatives will change their mind as you make an effort to improve, and it starts paying off. You may be surprised how fast they change, and might even explore their own possibilities.
