What a Ride!

March 20th, 2011 (1)" Today I authorized the Armed Forces of the United States to begin a limited military action in Libya in support of an international effort to protect Libyan civilians. That action has now begun." I remember this speech, it was President Obama announcing the United States role in military action to support the push of the rebels in Lybia. I as well remember this one as I am sure several million others remember from President Obama March 22nd, 2011: (2) "I said at the outset that this was going to be a matter of days and not weeks. This one was pretty sincere as well except for one small detail. Here we are a month or so later which if viewed as this administration views it, is only days not weeks later, and not only are we still there but on Tuesday President Obama authorized a nice little $25 million dollar assistance package to help the Lybian groups opposing Col. Muammar Qadhafi so with that being said can I say one thing? Mister President I oppose Col. Qadhafi as well so can I get in on some of that 25 million to pay my gas to and from work this year since there are no alternate measures in place in this country for the continuous out of control spending by your administration?

We have a dilemma in this country that is slowly taking us to the proverbial debt floor for a 3 count and our government is authorizing $25 million dollars to Lybia so rebels can buy more arms and weapons through what ever channels whether it be Russian or al-Qaida no one knows because they are sure not purchasing them from us and by the way did we ever hear exactly what side the rebels were on? This administration has an addiction to money pure and simple. It is almost as if millionaires were sitting in every office of the White House because money is no object to these people. Do you think I'm making this up? Let's take a little look at the fundraiser he attended for former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine on Wednesday that paid a nice $36 thousand dollars a plate full for pot pies, you know what we common people eat that are 3 for $2 dollars at most stores. How much of that is going to head toward the ever spiraling up budget or to help cut our expenses as taxpayers who keep financing this little roller coaster ride that the White House is currently enjoying? Maybe it is not as bad as we think it is though America! After all Timothy Geithner the Treasury Secretary made a statement on Tuesday that the current rise in fuel pricing would not place the economic recovery at risk so we should ask ourselves why we are so bent out of shape, there is nothing wrong here according to this administration.

Do you see where I am going with this? We have three wars in three different middle eastern countries, soldiers coming home distressed over debt as well as complications from combat, we have people cutting family visits and some losing their jobs over the inability to afford to get to work, a future of Chinese ownership possible thanks to so much borrowing and the only thing we can get from this administration is $35 thousand dollars pot pies to get another sooth saying politician into office and a Treasurer without a clue as to how it would be to live as a mere middle class person. The only thing left is for our government to approve themselves a cost of living increase and we should be on the road to financial freedom. I am trying to make a joke with this but there is nothing funny or trendy about our mess currently in this country. We have politicians living like they are on a free taxpayer ride and we (John Q public) have to set back and watch if you were able to pay your cable bill this month, we watch as this administration takes off on a shopping spree at our expense going about spreading good cheer to all the nations while at home we are sinking like the Titanic in our own bailout.
