What to See at Key West, Florida

Many people say one day is sufficient for a Key West tour. Per my own experience two days at this tiny island is prefect to see it completely. Key West is one of the world's famous destinations situated at southern most end of USA. This small island is more than 100 miles away from mainland of Florida and connected by 42 bridges. Key West is having its unique view with Atlantic Ocean on one side and Gulf of Mexico on other side. As Key West is very near to Cuba (only 90 miles from Cuba) and Caribbean islands, Key West is having the prominent effect of Caribbean Islands.

Water Sports - Key West is the best place for all adventure water sports. The boats are started at morning 9:00 AM from Key West and will take you inside the sea for a complete fun day. The boat will come back around 4:00 PM o the same day. That whole day you can enjoy middle of the sea with Parasail, Jet Ski, Kayak, Snorkel and water scooter. This is really ultimate adventure and fun for a day and at the middle of sea. You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch and wine while you are on the boat. The cost of this tour is around $100 per head. Coach Train Tour - This is one of the oldest tours at Key West. This is a fully guided one and half hour tour on a motor coach train around the world. You will get to know about all best places of Key West and ancient historical structure of Key West. The cost of this tour is $24 per head if you purchase online, otherwise it is $27 per head over the counter. The coach trains depart every half hour from the depot at 301 Front Street.

Butterfly and Nature Conservatory - There are many things to see on the Duval Street of Key West. The Butterfly and Nature Conservatory is situated at 1316 Duval St, Key West, FL 33040. As you walk-through this place will be able to know various types of butterfly and colorful birds. If you are going to Key West with family this place will be best place to visit. The entrance fee for the Butterfly conservatory is $10 per head. You have free parking at the back side of this building for visitors.

Southern Most Point of USA - This is again situated at one side of Duval Street of Key West. This is the southern most point of US and just 90 miles from Cuba. There is not much great thing to see here except few snaps. Spend little time and take few memorable snaps and come back from this place.

Pirate Soul Museum - Key West is having several good museums. This is located at 524 Front Street · Key West, FL 33040. See some 300 years old pirate plunder, confessions and weapons as you go through this nice museum.

Key West Aquarium - This is located at 201 Front Street #224, Key West, FL 33040. This aquarium is very old and constructed on 1934. The aquarium is having all natural sea water fish, turtles and other sea water creatures which are available around the Key West.

Sunset Sail - There are different types of sunset sail is available in Key West. You can have sunset dinner sail with a good food and drinks while observing sun setting down at horizon. The sunset dinner costs around $75 to $85 per head. If you don't like to have dinner you can take ordinary or basic sunset sailing which costs around $35 per head. You can enjoy free drinks at the deck of sunset sail. The tour will be almost 3 hours long and starts at 6:30 PM from Key West during summer time.
