Where from you start - Depending upon where you live you can choose Miami airport as your base airport. Miami is a big city and renowned city and it is very easy to get good deals from Miami to every other place in US and abroad. If you reside in Florida you can choose for a road trip, which will be really amazing.
Day 1 - If you come by flight try to reach at Miami by morning (at least by 11 o'clock) and rent a car at Miami airport. Go directly to Miami South beach from airport with your rented car and have lunch there at South beach. There are several good restaurants available at South beach. You can find the restaurants of any country at Miami South beach. Miami South beach is 20 minutes drive from Miami International airport. I won't recommend you to take a hotel at Miami, because Miami hotels are very costly. Enjoy your day at Miami South beach. If you want to visit few other beaches you have time to do that too. Miami also has Central and North beaches which are also very good. Once you are done with Miami beaches have dinner from a restaurant at Miami. Miami is a place with really good food and restaurants. You can try some sea food preparation at beach-side restaurants.
Florida City is 25 miles west of Miami and a good place to stay. Florida city hotels are not so costly and you can get almost all big hotels there. Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn etc. can serve your purpose. Drive back to hotel that night and have a good sleep for few exciting water sports at Key West next day.
Day 2 - After a good rest on first night at Florida City you can start your second day with Key West. Key West is 125 miles west of Florida City and it will take three hours to reach there. There are lots of interesting thing to see at Key West. One of the main thing what you can enjoy a lot is water sports on the middle of sea (Atlantic Ocean). Everyday there is a package tour for water sports which starts at 9:00 PM from Key West and it will take you inside the sea. The package comes around $99 per head includes lunch and drinks and will be back by 4:00 PM on the same day. This is really fun and lots of different activities are there to take part for a whole day. The bad things are this is completely for young people and you can not come back early if you think you don't want to stay middle of the sea anymore.
If you don't want to do water sports, still you have lot of other things to see in Key West. You can take a Coach Train Tour with $27 per head (online $24 per head). This is one of the oldest activities of Key West and it first started in the year of 1948. This tour is of one and half hours long. They will show you the whole island while you are traveling in Coach Train. If you have interest in history you will find good amount of information here. From this tour you will able to realize how old this island is.
The main street of Key West where you will find all Key West attractions is Duval Street. After the Coach Train tour you can go for Southern most point of US, which is just 90 miles away from Cuba. This is a place where you can take few memorable pictures. The sea around this place is really nice to see.
You can also go for butterfly conservatory which is very near to this southern most point of US at Key West. You can also visit Pirates Museum on Duval Street.
At the evening you can go for a sunset sailing. There are two type of sunset sailing available at Key West - one is only sunset sailing and another is sunset dinner. Only Sunset sailing will be around $35 per head and Sunset dinner sailing will be $80 per head. The Sunset sailing is really nice thing to see at Key West. I am sure everyone on boat enjoys this sailing and if the weather is good you will really able to see some memorable scenic beauty of Key West. After the dinner you need to come back to Florida City because we will start our third near to Florida City.
Day 3 - More exciting things are waiting for you on third day for your vacation. On third day you can go to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park at Key Largo. This is the first American undersea Park. It has several different activities where you can take part.
Glassbottom Tour - This is one of the famous tours of Johan Pennekamp Park. The high speed catamaran will take you to middle of the sea to show you Florida Key's coral reefs and undersea wildlife. This two and half hours of tour is really nice to see the sea and coral reefs. The catamaran 'Spirit of Pennekamp' departs three times a day at 9:00 AM, 12:15 PM and 3:00 PM. The cost of the ticket is $22. The John Pennekamp Park also has several other tours like Snorkeling Tour and Scuba Tour. It is better to have Glassbottom tour at 9:00 AM. After this tour you can have dinner at Key Largo and then we will drive to Everglade Alligator Farm at Florida City.
Everglade Alligator Farm is yet another good thing to see at Florida. It has Alligator show, Snake Show, Airboat Rides etc. Airboat ride is one of the famous tours of Everglade Park. Airboat will take you through a canal and show you different types of fishes, birds and turtles. It will also take you to some places where ordinary boat can not go and you will enjoy the thrilling boat riding.
This is the last thing to see on third day and after that you can come back to your originating place starting at evening from Florida City. Hope this will give you an idea about what see at the very south of Florida. So plan your next vacation to Key West, Florida City, Key Largo and Miami.

Post a CommentVery nice article. We had 5 days, but did South Beach, Key Largo and Key West. It's such a culture shock to go from South Beach to Key West in a day- but an enjoyable one!
