What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue?

Many people suffer from chronic fatigue or also known as chronic fatigue syndrome. This is a disorder that has a huge impact on a person's life. It keeps them from doing normal activities because they have such huge fatigue and exhaustion. In order for it to be diagnosed as chronic fatigue it must last for awhile. Chronic fatigue has lots of symptoms, and it is all of these combined that are important to watch out for. That way you can get the proper treatment for it from your doctor. There are many signs and symptoms of chronic fatigue.

Fatigue

Obviously fatigue is the number one sign to look out for in having chronic fatigue. You will feel just drained, and it will take an effort to accomplish even the simplest task. All you will want to do is rest and sleep. Exercising may make you feel even more tired. So make sure you get plenty of rest, and gradually work your way up to harder levels of activity. Just be patient with your self.

Depression

Besides your body just feeling tired, there is a good chance that you will feel depressed too. Depression is a mood disorder. This is when you just feel super sad, have a hard time wanting to do anything at all, or just not have any feelings about anything. When you feel depressed for any real length of time you should always see a doctor. There is help for depression.

Flu Symptoms

You may feel like you have the flu when you have chronic fatigue. It may be possible for you to get the chills and to have a low grade fever. You will probably feel achy all over your body. Just like with the flu, you could develop a sore throat that. It will be hard to get good nights sleep.

Headaches

When you have chronic fatigue you may get headaches. They can be slightly painful. They can be really painful. The headaches may come or go. Ask your doctor if you can take over the counter pain reliever to help them go away.

Mental

Besides being depressed, you may feel other mental things. You may feel extremely irritated with everything. It is hard being so tired all the time. When you feel so extremely fatigued you may not be able to remember things well. You can become forgetful. It might be hard to remember things. However, always remember to go see your doctor if you experience many of these symptoms so that your doctor can give you proper treatment. You will want treatment if you have chronic fatigue.
