The South Street Seaport is a great place to spend a day and have a good time especially during the summer time. The South Street Seaport is located in Southern Manhattan in New York City.One of the great things about the South Street Seaport is that there is so much to do and so much to see.

One of the reasons why so many people travel to the South Street Seaport is to see the ships that dock. During some weeks over the spring and summertime the navy fleets and sailors dock. The sailors then travel around Manhattan and see all of the sights. People at the South Street Seaport get to see all kinds of giant ships and go aboard them.

There is also a water ferry on the pier that takes people across the water to get a great view of the city.

There are also two bars to get drinks and there are two restaurants for customers to sit down and order food.

Besides shopping, outside on the pier entertainers often perform something special. I have seen a man on a unicycle juggle swords, another man ingest fire and another entertainer perform a unique dance. You never what surprises are in store for you when you visit the South Street Seaport.
