Teach for America is a program where promising teachers with exceptional leadership skills and the desire to help others apply and are accepted to teach those students in communities that need talented teachers the most. Once selected, Teach for America teachers are assigned to teach in a variety of schools in both urban and rural areas and are generally asked to commit to teaching in these schools for a period of two years.
