A few things to consider. What is mankind, anyway? Why are we here? I mean, do we really believe we are an accident of nature? Some kind of mutation from a one celled animal? Then why are there still one celled animals? Are we evolved from apes? Then what happened to the other apes? Why are they still apes? Were they lazy?
What do we really think? Are we sheep just believing what ever the government schools teach us? Or do we investigate for ourselves? I mean, does anybody ever examine the terminology thrown around with these teachings? Theory! That's the word thrown around as though it means, somehow, reality.
Does anybody realize we've been brainwashed with that word? Just because something is a theory doesn't mean data, it means 'somebody else's bright idea'.
So if what we've been taught in school, is hogwash, then what is the truth? Why do we need to know the truth? Well, for one thing, it would be nice to understand what keeps us going.
Here's another thought. Don't you think it odd that when you're introducing yourself, you point to the center of your chest? Wonder why that is. I mean, why don't we point to our face? Maybe our eye? What's the deal with pointing at our chest? Don't tell me it's the closest way of pointing out who we are. There has to be a reason we all point to the exact same spot. What are we pointing at?
Ever consider that maybe, just maybe its our spirit we point toward? I mean, really, what are you? I don't know about you but I'm a lot more than just minerals. Do minerals explain emotions? Don't tell me. It's the brain, right? Electrical impulses in a blob of pink tissue produces emotions. I don't think so. That brain is great at computing and storing memory but it sure doesn't have the ability to express emotion. So then where does emotion come from?
I'm not asking for anything more than logic. If emotion isn't an organic thing, then where does it come from? Check out the organs of the human body and tell me which one produces emotion. Get this...when you feel heartbreak, where do you feel it? It's in that same spot you point at when referring to yourself. Right? Where do you feel fear? Same place. Now here's the big question. What organ sits directly behind your breastbone? And if there was an organ there, which one would it be because it only produces emotions? Don't you think that's odd? We can explain, scientifically, just about everything about our bodies, our existance, except how and where emotions come from.
It just so happens there really is a significant difference between human beings and all other animals. That difference is also the source of all your emotion. That difference happens to be a spirit. The fact is, you are a spirit not a mortal being. A spirit living inside a mortal being.
You want proof that the scientists can find? Or would you prefer some proof that you yourself can grasp? Science doesn't know and can't figure it out. So why not listen to somebody who can prove it with things you yourself understand?
Have you ever known who was calling before you even reached for the phone? I mean, even when it's somebody you haven't heard from in awhile. I know...they call it psychic. Right? Come now. If this was truly a 'power' of mankind, it wouldn't come and go uncontrolled. Is it so hard to believe that it's your spirit acknowledging another? How many times have you awakened from a dream that you felt was something trying to tell you something? Have you ever suddenly felt terribly sad with no conceivable reason? An unexplained giddiness when nothing special was happening?
Here's a good one. Have you ever been in the presence of someone that gave you a weird queeziness in the pit of your stomach? A sensation that made you want to get away? Have you ever questioned your sanity after such an event? Wondered what could be wrong with you when everybody else seemed to be perfectly comfortable. As though, only you felt that way about this person? Then, if anybody else happens to be with you, they wonder what's the matter with you and you can't find a way to explain?
What if I told you that there's nothing wrong with you and that you sensed, in spirit, the truth about that person? What if I told you that the reason you sense these things is because you already belong to god and just haven't come to realize it yet? There must be some reason you sense these things while others don't.
If you had any idea just who you are, you wouldn't doubt the presence of god, ever again. The problem is not whether you believe in god but whether you know who you are. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are. That's the biggest mystery. You could be a lawyer, doctor or even a prostitute. Your walk in life is not the measure of who you are.
We spend all this time trying to prove where mankind came from and it's just about the least important thing, I can imagine because we are not mankind with a spirit but a spirit living in a human being. Who cares where the human being came from, just be glad it's around to help you carry out your purpose for this lifetime. The fact is, you are a spirit, you were a spirit and will be a spirit after this life is over.
So how is it, that if we are spirit living in a human body, do we forget that fact? If indeed, it's true. In this life, it's not the spirit we use to function but it's the senses. The mortal senses like sight and smell. It takes mortal senses to live in a mortal world. Isn't that logical?
The fact that every now and then the spirit reacts to something, doesn't mean the spirit has 'come through', it means you are basically spirit and regardless of how much data comes through the senses, you can't completely drown that part of you out of the picture. It's there always.
You are real. God is real. Just as real as you! If you can grasp the fact that you are foundationally a spirit, then it shouldn't be so hard to understand that there could actually be a Holy God.
We call Him, Holy Spirit because He too is spirit, just as we are but we are not the Holy One. Why else would He be called Holy Spirit?
Then there is the argumental question, "How can god be 3 in 1"? Well, He's not 3 gods in 1. He's just like you and I. Are you not body, mind and spirit? How is it possible you are 3 in 1? Same thing, only in the case of our Holy One, His is referred to as God,Jesus,Holy Spirit. Same thing, don't you think? Simple. God would be referring to the mind of the unit, Jesus the mortal being and the Holy Spirit as the foundation. Just like you. The only difference is He is Holy.
Ok, so what makes Him the Holy One? Now there's a good question and I sure hope to fully understand that one some day. Truthfully, not even the Bible explains it. Just in all things, we encounter in this lifetime, its a mystery but we do have a promise of an explanation. We just have to wait. Why? I don't know. I mean, I might as well confess I don't know any more than what has already been explained to us.
Here's what I do know. I know that we as individuals, as well as a group, are here for a purpose. I know that we existed before this lifetime. The Bible says our names are written in the book of life, from the foundation of the world. I know that we will continue to exist after this lifetime. I know that God, the one true god, is in authority over us. I know that we as mankind, messed things up(got off on the wrong track) and that God Himself, had the only answer to put things right.
I know that Jesus was God walking in a man and Himself paid a price to put things back into order, for our sake and for a greater purpose. We may not understand the method but then there's a lot of things we don't understand.
Everything has an answer. We just don't always find out what it is. Like, for instance, why does our neighbor get cancer and we don't? Why do we fight and win the battle over diseases, only to have new ones pop up and start the battle all over again?
To tell me that you don't believe there is a god is to tell me you don't believe in yourself. I mean, how can you accept that you are actually alive and real?
Think about it. What has science truly proven? Science studies the mechanical workings of all things but the one question they will never attempt to answer, simply because they admit they cannot, is what life is. They can see how it works, how it procreates but they still don't know what it is.They discovered the brain operates by electrical impulses but still don't know why those impulses exist or where it comes from. Even their explanation of how life began is all, and I do mean all, speculations and theories. No absolute proof.
So why is that one question still a mystery? With all of today's knowledge, why is that one question still not answered definitively?
Regardless of what a person believes about our beginnings, it depends on faith because there are no facts. Let a christian say, "faith" and half the world thinks they are whacko's.
What's the difference? Does anyone realize how much faith it takes to believe we began from a one celled animal? That theory is totally out there.
Do you believe in the 'big bang' theory? (Catch that word theory.) Where are the reasons for this big bang? Or have you thought beyond the big bang? Let's say there was no reason for it, it just happened. To believe this world began as a result of some accidental explosion is to have no faith in any tomorrows.
