What Do You Think of That?
Today was a very disturbing day for me in more ways then one. It all started out fine and dandy like any other day for me. Right before work I give my son a hug and tell him I love him as I go out the door, feeling good knowing that as I work my 8-10 hour shift It is all for him , Knowing I'm taking care of him and giving him what he needs as a child is so wonderful. As I walk to work it starts to rain and with it just becoming spring its pretty cold, I stopped in the store as I always do and pick up some chewing gum I hear a child's sweet soft voice saying momma, momma I turn and see a tiny little girl about 5 I would guess , hair not brushed dirty pants on food on her shirt summer sandals on and no jacket, she was asking her mother if she could have a apple, She said Oh look its so Big I beat it is sweet momma can you buy it? Her mother who was wearing designer jeans hair all done up neat and clean, nice shoes and a thick light blue hoodie looked at her little girl and said no , I don't have enough money , As she was holding a six pack of beer. Oh my Goodness what is wrong with people ? I cant understand , the mother was dressed pretty nice and warm . so sweet she says OK momma , I just about cried I don't know has anyone seen this at all? How do you get this image out of your mind? I feel so sorry for children, My child would never ever go without especially because of beer.
