What I Think About Fred Phelps and His Westboro Blabtist Church

First, the westboro baptist church should be renamed the phelps blabtist con. Some of what Mr. (?) Phelps teaches is in line with scripture, but I think he hates God. Scripture teaches that it will be more tolerable for Sodom (aka the homosexual city) on the day of judgment than for people like Fred Phelps(Luke 10:12-15) who are ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For it (Rom. 1:16), not the protest, is the power of God unto salvation.

Fred Phelps seems to believe in salvation by works, by the work of protesting. Is the protest more powerful than God? Does Mr. (?) Phelps believe John 3:9-21, which teaches that Christ did NOT come to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved? I think he does not believe that scripture passage.

Does Fred Phelps want the homosexual to repent of his or her sins and be saved? I don't think so. I think the westboro blabtist con artist Fred Phelps wants, even desires for people to go to hell, because that is where his heart is.

Most real Baptist do not believe in salvation by protest. Most real baptist churches want people to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Most Baptist and other Holy Bible believing Christian groups know that God has the power to change the lepers spots and melt the heart of stone.

Fred Phelps is too selfish to want people to be saved. Fred Phelps is like the servant in Matt. 18:23-35. He wants Christ to forgive him, but has no desire to bring the lost to Jesus. He hates the mercy and love of Jesus toward the lost sheep. He hates his fellow sinners. He wants, even desires that people perish, something God does not want (2^nd Pet. 3:9).

Fred Phelps has brainwashed some silly women related to him into being as heady and high-minded as he is, he has a form of godliness, but denies the power of God. (See 2^nd Tim. 3:3-7). Is Fred Phelps fierce? Is he a false accuser as mentioned in 2^nd Timothy 3:3, does he have a natural affection toward the sinner, wanting the sinner to repent and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour? Does he believe in salvation by the Grace of God alone through Faith alone in Jesus Christ alone? I think not.

I don't know the heart of Mr. Phelps, but it appears to be a heart of stone that wants the sinner to stay in their sin, that wants, even desires the sinner to go to hell. Is he trying to lead people away from hell, probably not, in my opinion.

Fred Phelps and his westboro "baptist" "church" has sought out and become as a celebrity and therefore the statements made in this article apply as it does to other public figures. His group will not publicly debate someone like me because he wants to twist the scripture to lie in the name of God who I think he does not really believe in. In my opinion he is a blabtist and a con-artist. He hate's God's mercy, he hate's God's love and he hates God.

"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men." (Luke 2:14)

"There were present at that season some that told him of the Galil æ ans,whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices, And Jesus answering said unto them, suppose ye that these Galil æ ans were sinners above all Galil æ ans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay; but except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay; but except ye repent ye shall n all likewise perish." Luke 13:1-5

We all need to accept that we are as bad as anyone else. We are as bad as the worst of the worst of sinners. Jesus loves the world, he did not come here to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

Have you accepted Jesus the Christ as your personal Saviour and personal Lord. Fred Phelps needs to do this himself, we are not saved by works, but by the grace of God. Do you and Mr. Phelps need to repent of your sins? Of course, but you're not good enough and neither is Mr. Phelps, both Mr. Phelps and every one else who is unsaved need to accept the real Jesus of the Scripture as your personal Saviour and personal Lord.

Jesus said, whosoever will, not whosoever but. God does judge the sinner, He usually does it through the study of scripture and personal conviction. God did not call Fred Phelps to judge the United States, Wall Street, Steve Jobs, Military personnel or any one else. A sermon or an article or something may be tools that God will use to judge you and convict your heart. God is able even to use Fred Phelps demonic ways to convict your heart. But it is highly doubtful that God instructed Fred Phelps to use the demonic tactics he uses.

I think Fred Phelps hates God's love, hates God's mercy and hates God. When his cult members yell out things like "God hates you" they are lying. Lying is against God's will.
