JAMIE MYLES
Beautiful eyes are important to the over look that you may want to achieve. They say the eyes are the mirror to the soul. What would people say your eyes are saying about you?
You look great, except for those tired, puffy red eyes. What can you do about this problem? Just read on and you will find several helpful tips to take care of this problem for you.
Lack of sleep, allergies, fluid retention or illness can be the cause of baggy, saggy, and puffy eyes. Let's not forget about the dark circles that make you resemble a raccoon. You might be tempted to hide in your room or wear sunglasses even though it's raining. Before you do, why don't you try these natural methods that will make your eyes look and feel clear and rested.
1. Try to get enough rest. Less then 6 hours is really bad for your over all health. If for some reason you are unable to get adequate sleep go on to step two.

2. Use an extra pillow at night to elevate your head a little more. It may prevent fluid from collecting under your eyes while you sleep.

3. Put a cucumber slice on each eye and relax for a few moments. It's one of the oldest beauty tricks in the book.

4. If the cucumbers don't do the trick, Trade them for a couple of cold wet tea bags. Tea contains tannins, an astringent that can tighten the skin. It also contains caffeine which will constrict the blood vessels and redness is gone. You may want to put a thin tissue between your eyes and the tea bags since tea may stain.

5. If after trying these steps, you still have puffy red eyes, place a wet washcloth in the freezer for a while then place it over your eyes. It will soothe and reduce swelling

6. For those dark circles many celebrities use raw potato slices. They say that the potassium in the potato lightens the dark under eye circles.

For over all good skin care get plenty of rest and eat a healthy diet. If your eyes are frequently swollen, itchy and red, you may have allergies or some other condition and should see your doctor. Your doctor will run some tests and may provide medication in the form of eye drops if necessary to correct the underlying cause if it is allergies or infection of one sort or another.
