What Turns Women On

Erogenous VS Aphrodisiac

Kelly Spies
I get so sick and tired of reading articles titled, "What Really Turns Women On" or "How to Turn Your Guy On in 10 Seconds." I mean really, isn't that sort of a matter of personal preference? For example, I personally know of a man that gets turned on, and thinks women get turned on, by rubbing the inside of his forearm against another person's skin. That sort of thing is not for everyone. It was kind of gross, in a way.

Considering it is a matter of personal preference, the list of things that turn women on is so incredibly long that I could never list them in one measly write up so I won't; and I'll spare you the mind numbing rehash of turn ons you can find all over the internet.

So what do I think turns women on? (Not that you care but now you know.)

1.)The waft of warm, clean guy skin you get right after he's showered. Someone should bottle that smell, sell it and call it Ode de Aroma-Horny. I'd buy it. That smell even beats out a fresh, brand new baby smell.

2.) Being easy. I do honestly believe that the majority of women are thrilled when they can convince a man to do anything they want them to. Power is indeed a turn on and has been referred to as "showing vulnerability" but let's be honest here; it's really just about the power and knowing you have it. My husband once let me shave his head with a bic razor. I was heady with power. Nothing made me want to jump his bones like knowing that at any second I could slice a good sized chunk of flesh out of his cranium if I wanted to.

3.) A high tolerance for pain. I can't speak for all women on this one but I do know there a lot of women who are turned on by how much pain a man can tolerate; myself included. It is just damn sexy when a man can take a beating and keep on eating. Some men have tender scalps.... That's what women are really thinking.

4.) The highly educated. It's true, women get turned on when they discover their man has a master's degree in oral hygiene, or at least a diploma in drilling. Somebody once said the biggest erogenous zone in the body is the brain. I wasn't referring to intellect.

5.) Spontaneity. If a woman tells a man she no longer wants to have sex in the bedroom but now only wants it in the kitchen and he's perfectly willing to go along with it; she's putty in his hands. No woman wants her man to get stuck in the same old rut day after day. No, she's turned on by a man that can put some thought into the process and keep it ever exciting.

There's more, as I said earlier but I'm not going to bother listing any more. If you disagree with my list or just want to add to it feel free to tell everyone on the internet what turns you on. Or for the guys, what YOU think turns women on.

All you have to do is whisper, "You're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry."

I'm new to this site but it seems to be more interesting than another site I've been on for years. Loved this article. My wife is always angry at the grocery store checkout counters which feature "84 Ways to Please Your Man" but seldom talk about pleasing women.

Great job. The after shower scent is the best smell in the world.

I've tried that "in the kitchen" thing. It's great and all, but it really distracts the kids and I have a hard enough time getting them to eat.

You're right. It is different for every woman. Personally, I prefer for the man to be in charge, but not abusively so. I think most women would agree with the first one. Just as we love a man who smells good, a man who smells bad is the biggest turn off ever. I have been in several relationships where the man wanted me to smell like a rose, but would climb into bed with me after a hard days work smelling like a dead body, and expect me to be turned on. Needless to say, I dropped them like a hot rock. What's up with some men and hygeine anyway? As for the last one, I hate when men do the same thing, night after night and expect me to be turned on. Surprise me, ravish me, act like I'm God's gift to men and you would have no other. Make it like the first time and for heavens sake, stop ogling other women when the one who does everything for you is sitting at home, waiting for you to grace her with your presence and attention so she can pounce on you like a cat in heat!
