What is an Uncle Chom and Why Should I Worry?

Noam Chomsky and His Chomskites

Chadd De Las Casas
Harriett Stowe didn't intend for Uncle Tom of the titular novel Uncle Tom's Cabin to become synonymous with Black betrayal. She always saw him as the noble hero that would never jeopardize his morality. In truth it was the stage performances of Uncle Tom's Cabin that really gave him his notorious epithet, whereby anyone accused of being an Uncle Tom by the Black community ranks among the worst insults one can extol. What does the term mean exactly? It's basically a reference to an African-American who has absolutely no qualms selling themselves out to appease the White Man.

When the African-American Palmdale high school student was caught lying about her broken wrist, for example, the mayor was accused of being an Uncle Tom for not punishing the guard who failed to break her wrist.

Uncle Tom is not the only pejorative term in this regard. One far more notorious and deserving of the title exists out there. There exists someone who has such a contempt for his own race, his own ethnicity, that he would see them sold out on every potential issue, seemingly only to get his name shown in spotlights. I previously entitled him a lunatic, and this has basically grown beyond the point of debate with his repeated attempts at drawing a moral equivalence between the killing of militant leaders with precision bombs and the dropping of unguided katuysha rockets into playgrounds.

Who is this lunatic? None other than self-hating Noam Chomsky, the linguist who thinks that because he's a Jew that hates Israel, he's eminently qualified to discuss political matters. Make no mistake, I have absolutely no qualms with anyone voicing their opinion on any number of matters, but a poor linguist whose only claim to fame on the political theater is that he's a self-hating Jew does not score any points.

Unfortunately there's a wide variety of Chomskites out there - some were even invited to the Holocaust Denial conference, where several people just like him flocked to the chance to speak against Israel. These men flocked to Tehran, selling out six million of their own blood, so that they could force on the world an anti-Zionist paranoia that they feel is ordained by God himself.

These people are Uncle Choms.

I can't positively say where this insanity that turns someone into an Uncle Chom comes from. True, you've got those like Noam Chomsky who's only basis in logic is the soap box that they get. True you've also got the Orthodox Jewish groups who represent themselves on www.jewsnotzionists.org, who literally believe that the existence of the state of Israel is open blasphemy, but I cannot trace the logical steps in Uncle Choms.

Unfortunately Uncle Choms come in all manners and backgrounds - the only consistency being a Jew that, for their own personal gain, would sell out other Jews. The term, although applied to someone relatively new to the political theater, can be retroactively applied throughout history. Dathan, from the Old Testament, for example is possibly one of history's first Uncle Choms. So eager was he to advance up the social ladder, whatever it may be, that the enslaved Hebrews were little more than fodder to his advancement.

The Nazis' ranks were filled with Uncle Choms - who staffed their police in the ghetto.

The greatest irony is that Uncle Chom himself does not even ascribe to any consistent beliefs outside of his refusal to acknowledge that Jews deserve a homeland. A self-described anarchist, he continuously writes pro-Iranian, pro-Syrian, pro-Whoever beats up on Israel or the United States articles, going so far as to try to find a way to justify the Iranian arming of Iraqi insurgents, which he denies is happening. But it's okay, just in case they ever do, of course.

I'm not sure what exactly his major problem is - but maybe the fact that he feels that America should've resorted to diplomacy in World War II is an indicator that, like most Uncle Choms, he is simply out of touch with reality.

Yeah, and you just said there's no evidence that Chomsky hates Israel, so you fail sir. Congrats.

Just because you say Chomsky is a "lunatic" doesn't make it so, nor that he "hates" Israel. How about giving evidence? Oh yeah, there is none. Criticism of Israel's policies and the double standard in the US media, doesn't constitute hatred of Jews, or even the self hatred you attribute to Chomsky. Do you see how illogical you are being? You are an incredibly simple human being Las Casas

It is truly sad that an article such as this can contain truth. However, I must say that it si entirely in keeping with reality...as terrifying as that may be.

Actually, his 'impeccable' skills as a linguist are just as questioned as his positions on everything else. If he did nothing but breathe, his Carbon Footprint would be unacceptably large

Yeah, so does appealing to revolutionaries who thought they could escape what was owed to them by appealing to the hearts of his captors, only to get his just desserts outside some school house.

"A poor linguist"? Dude, the LONE place the guy is virtually criticism-proof is in his contributions to linguistics. This article = massive fail.

Chomsky is so Left that he thinks he's always right. Just like the Democrats who despise their own nation, the United States, Chomsky believes that his "set apartness" makes him special.
