Unwanted Eye Shadow
Nail Polish Colors: If you have colorful eyeshadow you don't use, you can make your own custom nail polish shades with it. All you need is any color nail polish (but light colors work best) and your unwanted eyeshadow in powder form. Add whatever eyeshadow you choose to the nail polish, shake it around and you'll have your own unique color. This is a great way to choose a nail polish color that matches exactly to something you're wearing, and it saves so much money!
Artworks: For the artists out there, grab some unwanted eyeshadow and mix it with anything to make a special paint color. You can mix it with normal paint, water just use the shadow dry. I've done this many times, it adds a unique effect to artworks especially if it's a highly pigmented eyeshadow, or if it's glittery.
There's also the option of making new eyeshadow or lip gloss out of your eyeshadow, but if you don't use it, you probably don't want the same colored eyeshadow but glossy, or bright green lip gloss. But if you would like to try this, all you need to do is mix your eyeshadow with petroleum jelly.
Unwanted Lipstick
Artworks: As with the eyeshadow, you can use lipstick in your artworks, but you can't mix it with paint. Just use it like a paintbrush, or melt it and turn it into a paint. You might have to melt it frequently, because lipstick hardens quickly. Lipstick looks great because it's so rich and bright. After using lipstick, put varnish over the top or the lipstick will smudge everywhere.
Different Makeup: Turn your lipstick into a sheer lip gloss by combining it with petroleum jelly or beeswax. Use it as blush on your face. If you have lots of unwanted lip sticks, mix them together and find a shade that you like, and then pop them all into a pot and then melt it.
Unwanted Mascara
Eyebrows: Throw away the mascara you don't use anymore, but keep the brush and you'll have a spare brush to use on your eyebrows, or as a spare mascara brush. Grooming your eyebrows makes you look neater and freshens up your face. You can also use clear mascara to groom your eyebrows, but not colored mascara.
You can also give away unused makeup, or give makeovers to your friends. But never use makeup that's past it's expiry date unless you won't be using it on your face anymore, you might get an infection from the bacteria. If you are creative, you could come up with a million different ideas for any other unwanted makeup, instead of just throwing it away. You'll be saving the earth and some money!
