What to Do to Make Your Valentine Day Special

Valentine day is a holiday celebrated on 14 February each year by many people around the world. In English speaking countries, it is celebrated as lovers' day and people send Valentine's Day cards, gifts, flowers or confectionary.

In my opinion Valentine's Day contradicts the basic component of romance i.e. is spontaneity. So on Valentine's Day a lover has to make a lot of effort to stand up her girlfriend's romantic and fancy expectations. But by following some Do's and Don'ts, one can still brings the "Spontaneity" factor back even on Valentine's day.

Start convincing your girlfriend that Valentine's Day is just another day and join her in mocking the whole Valentine's day concept and make fun about how absurd is this concept. Make her expectations very low. Be in this character until Valentine's Day and then suddenly surprise her and you can still be her prince of romantic kingdom.

Sometimes girls say like "you don't have to anything for me on Valentine's day. It's okay." Total crap, Don't buy it.
When you are buying gifts, please put some extra thought here like the stuff she really likes, her hobbies, her interests (what we don't listen or observe generally).Get her something special it doesn't have to be costly but special is necessary. Do not take her to dinner in a fancy, stylish restaurant coz when you go there and see other lovebirds there, you will feel like a part of the cattle. Learn some new recipe and cook her dinner.

While buying flowers please trust the florist as you are not an expert. Tell him what you want and he will help you in the best way possible. Do not be a cheese ball by sending her flowers or chocolates in every five minutes. Have some self-respect. Do not propose on Valentine's Day, seriously it's not a good day for it coz you are robbing her perfect engagement story and you will feel like lamest fiancée ever.

Now for those who have just started dating then please do not take it as your big day. If you take my advice, do not meet her on Valentine's Day. If you do meet her then do not lavish her with costly jewelry or gifts. Save yourself from awkwardness. Have some common sense and use your mind, do not leave it in your locker on Valentine's Day.
