What to Get when You Visit Corky's BBQ of Memphis, TN

Nobody likes to be dissapointed in the choice they have made off of a restaurant menu, and especially when perhaps they have traveled from out of town or even spent a considerable amount of money on their menu selection. But if you are passing through and want to visit Corky's Ribs & BBQ restaurant, then fret no more because here is your ultimate guide to ensure you choose what's best!

Corky's has three locations in and around Memphis, and they are 5259 Poplar Ave (inside the 240 loop, near White Station), 1740 N. Germantown Pkwy in Cordova, and the Corky's Collierville at 743 W. Poplar (near Byhalia). The RibsNot everyone is able to boast on their ribs. Sometimes they are just too dry, sometimes they won't fall off the bone at all as if they are undercooked. And sometimes it's all the sauce's fault! But not to worry, because Corky's most definitely has some of the best ribs around! But then there's that little question that you may not know how to answer: dry or wet?

Well, if you aren't sure you like dry BBQ, topped only with their dry rub seasoning, then you may definitely want to do wet. The wet BBQ ribs really allow you to get that distinct Corky's taste that everyone loves, using the sauce that is sold in bottles in the area grocery stores.

But if you want to try them both out, the menu also offers a selection of a full slab of ribs, half wet and half dry. This is a favorite options for couples, because it is a lot of food and then both can try some of both the wet and dry ribs. But if you're in doubt, definitely go wet.

The Chopped Pork Sandwich

This is quite an all-time favorite for most visitors, and it certainly beats a hamburger for the same price! Corky's offers a chopped beef sandwich as well, but hands down the pork is the best as it is nice and moist, never any pesky bone pieces like other BBQ places have hiding out in their meat, and if you do order this item from the menu.... make sure you go all the way with it, adding the restaurant's delicious cole slaw and extra bbq sauce to it! It can't be beat!

And if you're wondering whether to order the regular sandwich or the jumbo one which is only a $1 more, there really is not too much difference in the two.

The BBQ Pork DinnerAgain, there's really nothing that beats pork when it comes to the variety of meats that Corky's has to offer, and if you are wanting a plate meal... then you will not be dissapointed with the Pork Dinner Plate, because they really pile it high with their moist hand-pulled pork, and you get a nice serving of their very fresh-tasting cole slaw, along with baked beans that have that signature Corky's taste to them, and of course soft and buttery fresh rolls.
