What Was

And What Will Be

James R. Ford
Convince me
convince me of the truth
all else that falls between
falls between the truth

all the while
hidden in your smile
falls far apart from grace
all, all the while
you're hiding in your maze

terrible decisions
valuable opinions
lost without a space
horrible intuition
hidden from your face

you let this go on, go on!
like words to your favorite and familiar song
but you don't know the words
you're vanishing quickly into the absurd

wake up, let me go, let me go
because you don't love me anymore
because you won't love me anymore

I woke up from your dream
covered myself, far from the obscene
remaining somewhat fast but in between
your reality
and a kiss.

Thanks for comments. This is one my favorites of 2009. The wordplay was as interesting to write as it is to read.
