You've got some tasks to do. A wedding groom is also assigned with a number of tasks for the wedding. It's a wedding groom's duty to carry out those tasks as smoothly as possible.

A wedding groom's to do list:

1) It is the wedding groom's duty to choose his groomsmen as well as his best man. Now here, be careful in choosing your wedding attendants, most especially your best man because later on you will assign each of them with some tasks too. So it would really be not a smart idea to choose those who you knew you simply can't rely on. It will cause you headache more than you can imagine.

2) Yours and your wedding attendants wedding attire. Doing this as early as possible is highly recommended. Choose an early date and be sure to inform them properly so that they can also prepare for the said date. There might be some conflicts like, your best man has an important meeting on your chosen date or some of your groomsmen can't make it for some business reasons, etc. So it's really a must to set an early date and inform them early too.

3) Their duties. You as the wedding groom is solely responsible for giving out each of your wedding attendants their corresponding tasks. Be clear and specific in handling out instructions, for them to understand it properly and to avoid some confusions and trouble later on.

4) Bride's gift. Choose something special, it doesn't necessarily need to be so expensive. You can check online for some ideas on what to give or you can ask and take your best man with you and start looking for one in department stores.

5) Wedding attendant's gift. You can show your appreciation to your wedding attendants by giving them some token of thanks.

6) Your speech. Yes! Every wedding groom makes a speech on the reception so make one for your self. Just say what your heart tells you and you will be perfectly fine.

Being aware of what your tasks as a wedding groom makes your wedding a lot easier for you and for your bride.
