What Were They Thinking? Big Brother 9 - Allison! Amanda! Natalie!

Judith Blakley
Hours after they were each ill, all three girls hung out in the sauna. Allison almost died and had to be rushed to the emergency room, and here she is, in the sauna. Amanda went into seizures and had to be rushed to the emergency room, and in the sauna we find her. Natalie had a fever, headache and nausea so badly last night that she could not eat and had to go to bed early. Yet, here she is, hanging out in the sauna with the other sick girls.

It is truly stunning that they would discount their health emergencies and sit in a sauna the very next day. Around seventeen hours after they have all been ill, they all get the bright idea to sit in the sauna together. Two of them are on several medications as well.

The production crew was just as stunned as the live feed viewers because they stuck all four feeds on the three girls in the sauna. It was as if none of the cameramen could believe their eyes. Amazing.

Big Brother turned the hot water on early and no one knows why. My guess would be that since the whole point of this show is for the production crew to not intervene unless it is an emergency, so instead of coming over the intercom and telling them how much danger they were putting themselves in, they turned on the hot water as a way to prompt them to get out of the sauna. The trick worked, thankfully.

Now, you probably want to know what they were doing in the sauna. Even though it makes no sense whatsoever, here is some of the footage so you can see what they were talking about.

Video One: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jh0bCgokawg)
Amanda and Allison start off in the sauna alone together. They rehash the fight between Allison and Shelia the night before, just before both of their emergencies. See my article "Another Fight! Shelia and Allison at Odds" (CLICK HERE). When Natalie joins them, Allison goes out to get some tweezers and Amanda tells Natalie that they have been in there for just a little over five minutes.

Video Two: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmIvW3oufQU)
Allison is back and all three of them talk about the emergencies. Allison talks about all the medications she is on and how her tongue is still not back to normal, then says that she still feels drugged. They switch over to Amanda's health crisis and her health history. Amanda starts feeling ill and says the sauna is making her not feel good. Imagine that! She is lightheaded and leaves the sauna. Amanda tells them that she is going to go lay down and asks them to check on her in a little bit. After Amanda leaves, Allison talks to Natalie about what happened last night with Shelia.

Video Three: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7tapPpdDMY)
Allison tells Natalie what people in the HOH are saying about who they want to get out. Allison sounds as if she is beginning to slur a little bit as she talks. They migrate their conversation to Allison's favorite subject, Jen. They talk about how much they enjoy being around each other. As Allison begins to explain why Shelia got so upset so easily, she begins to have more and more trouble putting her thoughts into words. The end of this video shows that Sharon found out the hot water was back on and she goes out into the kitchen to tell everyone.
