The holiday season is busiest time of the year for the gaming industry. Most of the biggest games are usually released at or around this time in order to take advantage of the spending frenzy. While more and more gaming companies are moving their games out of this period, the holiday season is still a preferred time to launch a title. Assassin's Creed II (PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360)
Publisher: Ubisoft, Developer: Ubisoft, Release Date: November 17th
Despite some flaws, the first Assassin's Creed game managed to become a breakout hit thanks to a slick marketing campaign. Ubisoft has made sure that Assassin's Creed II won't be all smoke and mirrors this time around as they have seemingly addressed all of the problems from the first game. With brand power to boot, you can expect Assassin's Creed II to be one of the best-selling games released in the holiday season.

    guys think about it.
its pritty obvious why uncharted 2 is not there, sony exclusives have and will sell poorly for some time to come.
    GT5 another story but still.
what will be the best game of 2009 thats easy uncharted 2.
but what will sell the best thats also easy modern warfare 2.

  • Scott8/3/2009

Modern Warfare 2 probably since its multiplatform. I can't wait for Uncharted 2 but its an exclusive, multiplaform games are usually the best sellers.

Are half of your retarded? He's not listing the BEST GAMES OF HOLIDAY 2009, he's listing the BEST SELLING GAMES of HOLIDAY 2009.

There are no mistakes in this article. Many PS3 titles will sell well, sure, but that doesn't mean they'll be best-sellers. PS3 supporters should focus more on the quality of their games, rather than software sales. It's one of the PS3's few advantages.

Regardless of opinion, 360 games usually sell better. NOT ALWAYS, but most of the time. If you're percieving my words in a logical manner, you'll realize that I'm not a Sony Basher. My statements are based what history has told us.

    Good luck to Sony.
    Good luck to Microsoft.
    Merry Christmas. Jesus rocks.
