What Will Kiefer Sutherland Do After His Role as Jack Bauer on 24?

Besides Playing in a 24 Movie, He Will Probably Continue to Support the Many Charities He Believes In

For eight years as Jack Bauer, on the television series, 24, he tried to save the world from multiple terrorist plots, including nuclear attacks, chemical and biological attacks, cyber attacks, presidential assassination attempts, corporate and government corruption. After playing a counter terrorist officer who believed the ends justify the means, as long as it means saving the world, for 192 episodes, what will Kiefer Sutherland do now that he isn't saving us all from certain death, sometimes suffering personal torture in the process? The world was often on the brink of war that only Jack Bauer could prevent, even as he often watch those he loved be killed in various plots.

He played in 192 episodes, as well as the television movie, 24: Redemption, but that doesn't end it all. A feature length 24 movie is being planned. Kiefer Sutherland has acted in other projects, including 70 films, with some of the most popular including A Few Good Men, The Vanishing, The Three Musketeers, and Mirrors. The actor, who has also starred in commercials, been in inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame and been given an Emmy and Golden Globe award will probably will continue to act. People may not know that he once temporarily quit acting to pursue a career in rodeo, but he may not do that again. One thing many people may not know about Sutherland, however, is how busy he has been in his life supporting a variety of charities, and he no doubt will continue to do so.

Kiefer Sutherland has supported charities that fight racism, encourage people to donate blood, marrow and organ donation, the creative arts, support children, economic and business projects, family and parental support, human rights, grieve support, women, and health.

Charities Sutherland has supported include Clothes Off Our Back, Artists Against Racism, the Global Fund for Women, Keep Memory Alive, Children's Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition, Save the Music Foundation, and Trillium Gift of Life.

The Children's Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition works with hospitals, hospices, and community-based organizations and the State of California. It attempts to help those who are experiencing a great loss, by providing their practical, medical and social needs. It seeks to train people to help dying children.

Clothes Off Our Back sells the hottest celebrity clothes at auctions and gives the money to children's charities.

Trillium Gift of Life seeks to save lives through organ donations.

Artists Against Racism seeks to teach children about the evils of racism.

Besides supporting the charities already listed, whether with his time or money, Kiefer Sutherland has also supported a variety of charities with his time and has plans to continue to do so. He would like to go to India to do charitable work among children. He was also scheduled to play in a poker tournament to raise money for charity.

Whatever Kiefer Sutherland will do after 24, he will no doubt stay busy.
