What the World Revolves Around

A young man and his girlfriend were shopping for clothes at the mall. The girl was rifling through some jeans on a rack as the young man stared absently at a t-shirt that read, The World Revolves Around Me, in bold letters around a picture of a smiling planet Earth.

You should get this one, said the young man, picking up the shirt.

The girl laughed and moved on to another rack of jeans.

What are you trying to say? she said.

Nothing, said the young man. Just that the world revolves around you. The world is you-centric.

Hmm, said the girl. That's sweet.

The girl moved on to another rack.

That's the one thing we have in common, said the young man. Both our worlds revolve around you.

Hmm, said the girl, moving on.
