What Would You Do?

Matthew 10:32-33: Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.

These words Jesus himself said are very powerful. It tells us that we are to live our faith in him without fear. We must always remember that there are those in this world that hate God and all he represents, and will not hesitate to persecute and execute we who love Jesus.

Now the question is is we are confronted with the choice of denying or recanting our faith in Jesus, or die, what will we do? Here in America we have not really for the most part had to make that choice. Some of Christians here do not admit to being believers out of embarrassment. Some fear that we will be outcasts and ridiculed and laughed at by our peers.

Jesus was not only ridiculed but beaten so bad he was not recognized, and then went to the cross to die for our sins. We all deserve to die and go to hell, but Jesus made a way for us, by taking our sins on himself on the cross. In fact, even the Father would not, could not look on him and turned his back on His own Son because of the sin of the world on Jesus Shoulders. That is Love for us that we cannot even comprehend.

And yet we so readily choose the way of the world. It is so much easier we think. Satan is a liar and the Father of lies. He will tell us; why should we suffer for someone else? Why should we suffer for a so called Jesus? Satan tells us Jesus never existed. It is just a religious phony. So why not just eat, drink, party, and be merry, for tomorrow we die?

What a filthy lie! Jesus is real he did die on the cross and he did rise again 3 days later winning once and for all the victory over sin, death, and the Devil. Yes we will suffer, yes we will struggle. Jesus told us in his word, we would. If JESUS SUFFERED AND DIED FOR OUR SINS WHY SHOULD WE THINK WE ARE ENTITLED TO A FREE RIDE?

Salvation is free, but after salvation we must proclaim the love of JESUS and what He did to save us from our sins. The bible says that God is not willing that anyone should perish but that all should come to repentance.

There is a pastor in Iran that refuses to recant his belief in JESUS CHRIST and for this he more than likely will die.

Someday soon this will happen here in America. America is already under attack. Abortion, the murder of millions of unborn babies runs rampant. Homosexuality is being accepted as the norm here in America, when God calls it an abomination, same sex so called Marriage is on the march. Next will be physical, mental, spiritual persecution and murder for belief in JESUS CHRIST. Yes, this is the way America is headed.

We in America have had it easy to long. We have grown soft. We do not want to leave our comfort zone. We want to go with the flow. We no longer fight for what is right. Many Christians across the country could care less about the same sex marriage, homosexuality, and homosexuals serving in our military.

I truly believe for this abomination that God's wrath is abiding on America as a whole.

But the real question to us in America is: If we are told to either recant (deny Jesus) or die, what would we do? The Iranian pastor chose to die.

Ask yourself this question: Who do I fear the most: The world, Or GOD? I choose GOD because He gave his Son to die for my sin. I pray if and when that time comes that JESUS through his Holy Spirit will give me the courage to stand up and die for JESUS. What about you?
