What to Do About Writers Block

Writers Block

alwayswinning24
I sit here and try to overcome my writers block. At the same time I wonder how in the world I can possibly have writers block when I have so much inspiration around me. If we think about it we all do. I have my family, friends, work experiences, love, life, death, children, marriage, and the list goes on. So with so much possibility what is the problem. Well this is what I think.

First of all when I think on some subject like my children I find it overwhelming. Do I write about how smart and intuitive Devin is? Yes I could tell you that I can hand him a math book and he could go through it all by himself with no explanation and just automatically comprehend every bit of it. But he is so much more than a smart sweet boy, he is HUGE, I could not possibly describe to you what a wonderful kid he is you would just have to know him. My other young man Matt, lol, well those of you who know Matt you know that this kid there is absolutely no describing him, he is so loving and funny with a outgoing sometimes outlandish personality. So can I cure my writers block writing about him? He is HUGE. So maybe that explains what I mean when I say that I feel somethings are too huge to write about. I think that it is beyond me. Can I tell you about my car? Yes! Can I tell you about my boys? No! They are wonderful and if I tried to do so it would be a lifetime project.

So there are somethings that I know alot about but seem to be too big for me to describe. Then there are other things that I feel I don't know enough about to give an accurate description. I would love to write about Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, I have watched the news, and bits and pieces of debates, but I do not feel that I know enough about their positions to do them justice. So instead of knowing too much and not being able to tackle the subject I know too little in this case.

So what is a person to do about this writers block when every subject you think about gets tossed out of your brain for one reason or another? Well start typing and hope that a light bulb comes on.
