What's in Your Bag? - Looking Inside the Purses of Many Women

Sophie Adams
What's in your bag? It is common knowledge the contents of a ladies purse are never to be seen. It's a means of carrying around necessities, personals and anything else you can think of for the day, month or event.

A man would carry one around if it were not for the ridicule he would receive. Women carry items in their purse such as makeup, mirror, checkbook, perfume, hair brush or comb, scrunchies, hair spray, gum, PDA, paper clips, pens, paper, digital camera, contact lense case and solution, jump drive, calendar, and most importantly, hygiene products (won't go into detail here).

Men and women alike carry mp3 player, credit cards, cash, receipts, car keys, work ID badge and cell phone. The difference is that men will use their wallet that goes in their back pocket, or their pockets. Many women will agree the most common way for a man to store their items is to have the woman carry them in their purse for him. This is not daily but usually when they're running around together. Rather convenient for the man isn't it?

Although women carry a lot of items in their purse, it is usually considered off limits to men because she would often carry personal belongings that a man might not want to see. Although possible, it is highly unlikely a woman is hiding something from her significant other.

Here are tips for the woman to carry items in her purse to reduce frustrations. Yes men, carrying a purse can be very frustrating sometimes. Your purse should be as organized. This isn't always the case so here are a few tips to assist with finding the items that usually fall to the bottom of your purse.

On many occasions you are standing by your car with your purse on the hood as you dig frustrated for at least a minute because you can't find your car keys. If you have a purse at all, it's likely to have a compartment where you can place your keys. It's a matter of making it a habit to put the keys in the same location every time. If that's too difficult, get the ever-popular D-clip. They are sold at almost any store. You can purchase them from small to large or one with pizzazz and style. Clip it to one of your purse straps and then to your keys so it will hang on the inside of your purse. When you're ready for your keys, just unclip and go.

Your cell phone is usually not a problem because a girl would be lost without her cell phone these days. For others, it's thrown in the purse only to be found if it rang or needed to be used. Again, if you have a large purse that's bottomless, finding the phone is about as tedious as finding the car keys. The best suggestion is to have a purse that has a design for a specific holder for cell phones. It is difficult to find a purse without this feature.

Include a wallet in your purse. This is best to contain your cash, identification, checks and credit cards. You will only need to dig in your purse for a large item and you're sure to find the wallet. For security reasons, do not carry your social security card and your birth certificate with you. If your purse is stolen, someone will assume your identity immediately and it is all thanks to you. These items should be kept in a safe or safety deposit box. These documents define you and should not be easily accessible to yourself and should be very difficult for a stranger to get their hands on them.

A purse defines a woman like blue jeans and T-Shirts define a man. Make it a pleasure to carry instead of a pain. These tips will help you do that.

I can relate! It's even worse when I change purses and end up forgetting to put something in it.
