What's Coming Out for the Nintendo Wii Through the End of 2007?

I bought my Nintendo Wii back in February and so far I must say, I've been a little more than disappointed in the release of games. Not only are the prices ridiculous at $49.99 each, but more than half of the games release right now suck. I can also add that I am still livid that many of the games that should have come with online gaming capabilities do not. I don't understand why Mario Party 8 did not have online gaming options. That would really of been sweet, but Nintendo; I guess, did not see things from a fans perspective. They knew if they released this game without online capabilities that their slew of fans would slap down the $50 for it anyway. I know I did.

But what's to come? What games are on the list for release this year? I can name a few, so I decided to share what games are in the line up, and how I personally feel about them.

1. Alien Syndrome- This game is due to be released on July 24th 2007. Now, I adore alien shooter games, but the cover on this one just does not do me any justice. It looks like it's going to have the same gaming format as Red Steel. A cool game, but far, far too glitchy.

2. Bug Island- Hmm... this one looks ok. But is it another one of them Disney movies made game? Only time can tell. However the plot sounds cool. It's basically you as this character named Ray, and you must find your friends on this deserted island...or is it deserted? Of course by the looks of the cover, you're going to be trying to escape from and destroy giant bugs. However the cover could be deceiving. The game just may be like Survivor for all I know. Would I buy this one? Most likely. Bug Island will be pre-releasing on July 24 2007.

3. Mario Strikers Charged - I'm sure many Mario fans are awaiting this release which will occur on the July 30th.However these Mario sport games do nothing for me. I'm a girl, I do love Mario games, just not ones like this.

4. Pool Party will be pre-releasing on July 31st. It's selling for only $29.99. Any game that sells for this low usually sucks. Nintendo knows it, fans are becoming aware of it, and the whole concept sucks. I'm sure this game will only be focusing on pool. Hopefully though it does not suck as bad as pool sucked in Wii Play.

5. High School Musical- This game is due to come with a microphone. I guess there is going to be a lot of singing. Seems to me though, like another knock off game of that Karaoke game. Pre release is timed for August 14th 2007.

6. Madden NFL08- Coming out on August 14th as well. I heard 07 sucked, so I'm sure 08 is just going to be yet another suck-o-licious follow up.

7. Carnival Games- Now this looks cute. However the price is set for $39.99 which means this game sort of sucks, but not terribly. Carnival games looks like its a copy of Rayman Raving Rabbids, only disguised to look different. I'm sure this game will consist of a bunch of idiotic carnival games for 4 players to compete. I'm sure it will include balloon popping with darts, ring around the bottle, ball in the goldfish tank, basketball, and the squirt gun one. I'm sure it will have more crap like that. The game will probably be fun, yes; but probably only for a few hours, then it's to the CD rack to collect dust. August 27th 2007.

8. Space Station Tycoon- Oh, this one looks cool. I've always been fond of tycoon games. Basically this game promises tons of customizations, light problem solving, with fast paced gaming. -Uh oh, did they say fast paced gaming? Yeah we all know what that means. This game most likely will get boring in about 2 days. Aug 28th

9. Hooked- dear lord this one looks like another sucky Rampala Trophy fishing game, only Nintendo sucks you in because it comes with a free remote, and an adapter piece for your remote that looks like a fishing pole. Oh the pole is cute, I'd buy it just for the pole, like most suckers. I'm sure though that the actual game itself is going to suck. Sept. 3rd.

10. Dewey's Adventure- This game follows the adventures of a drop of water. He's a cute drop of water, I give it that. However I have this hunch it's going to be a movie made game. Pre-release is set for Sept 4th 07.

11. CSI Hard Evidence- I'm sure tons of CSI fans will be buying this one up the moment it hits the shelves. Me though, never have been a fan, but the plot seems cool. You basically are to help the cast solve crimes. Sounds like a game I would enjoy if it had good game play. I've got this hunch though that there will be a small limited amount of crimes that follow a stupid storyline. Pre-release Sept 18th 2007

12. My Sims- Now this is the game I'm waiting for. The first rumor surrounding this game was that it was supposed to be Animal Crossings, then the name changed to My Sims. Either way, this game looks like Animal Crossings, only it's using cute lego like characters. It looks nothing like The Sims, and the disappointment hit in a wave when fans found out they would not be using their Mii characters. However, I'm cool with that. One major mistake Nintendo can make with this game is not allowing online gaming. You release a game like this without online gaming, and people are going to be pissed. The game play consists of you pretty much building your town from scratch, decorating it, making homes, etc. If online gamers cannot come and visit this town, I imagine it would get boring really, really fast. So hear me out Nintendo, add some damn online options! Sept 18th 2007/

13. Man Hunt 2- I never played Man Hunt, so this game just does not appeal to me. But for those who would like to know it's basically a cat and mouse chase type of game. You run, they come and get yah. Sigh. Yawn...zzzz....zzzzz.... October 1st 2007

14. Bratz The Movie- Oh dear lord. I like the Bratz dolls, but a movie made game most likely always bites the dust pretty fast. This game will be popular amongst younger girls, and honestly thats the only audience this game will pick up. I'm all for girl games, but with it's lower $39.99 price, it most likely is going to suck. pre-release date is set for Oct. 10, 2007/

15. Dance Dance Revolution, Hottest Party Bundle: Dear God this just screams gay.

16. Guitar Hero 3, with Guitar: Wait, doesn't this game suck? Why are they releasing it for the Wii? I'm confused now. Hasn't all of the guitar hero's sucked? Maybe Nintendo thinks they can make it not suck?

17. The Simpson's Game- This one is most likely going to follow the story line of The Simpson's Movie. I am a Simpson's fan, so I'm hoping it's not some crazy taxi like racing game. It'd be neat to explore of of Springfield, with some stupid little side missions like Grand Theft Auto. However, I am sure Nintendo will manage to screw it up somehow. Oct 30th 2007.

18. Catz- A mock up of the lame DS game I am sure. Probably more options, and more items. WHoopity doo. I'm sure this one will be a hit though with little girls and boys around the world. Nov 13th 2007.

19. Dogz - Yet again another mock up of the DS version of the game. However Nintendo knows kids everywhere are going to want this one. I'm just so confused on why they released the sucky version of Nintendogs?

20. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2- It's just going to be like the first. A bunch of mini games that last a few seconds long. The first one was okay, and I'm sure this one will be just okay, but at the same time not worth the $50 asking price. Nov 13th 2007.

21. Mario and Sonic Olympic Games- This one may be cool, but who can say? I imaging it will be Mario and friends teaming or versing Sonic and his friends in stupid little mini games that have to do with the Olympics. Nov 20th 2007.

22. Super Smash Bros: Brawl- I'm sure this game will have online capabilities, but I was never a fan of stupid fighting games, so I will leave this one for the fans to decide for, or against. Dec 8th 2007

23. Super Mario Galaxy - Finally another game I may enjoy. It's Mario in space. Man hopefully this one is a good one, I have to wait till the new year practically rings in to get my hands on it though, and I am sure even then with a pre-buy I will be on a waiting list. I imagine this though to be similar to Super Mario 64 just re-vamped.

There are more games coming out now till 2008, however only 2 of them really hit me as good games. How sad is that? I'm sick of these stupid fighting games that are glitched beyond repair, sick of the idiotic mini games, and sick of the fast paced; done in 3 hours games. A lot of the games on the list I have compiled looks like they are going to be just that.

Guess I will have to wait and see what 2008 will bring to the Wii console. Sigh.
