Game Designer team made up of programmers, artists, designers, and musicians may spend years to make a new video game, and also spend millions of
dollars taking that game from the initial concept to a packaged product on a store shelf.
The education required to become a Video Game Designers varies. Employers would like to see the following, college education in computer science,
computer engineering, and electrical engineering. Video Game designers should also have an understanding of computer-aided design, computer graphics,
or art. Other skills and abilities necessary are creativity, vision, technical and analytical skills, and creative problem solving. It is also important to know what has
been successful and popular in the past so many computer programmers have also logged many hours playing games and have a love for games.
On average a Video Game Designer with little experience can make from $28,000 a year to $55,000 a year. But with more experience a Video Game
Designer can make from $67,000 a year to $98,000 a year. The video and computer industry was one of the fastest growing industries in 1998. The IDSA
reports that the interactive entertainment industry employs at lest 80,000 workers in the US alone.

That sounds like a really neat career to have! I actually thought about going for a major in it until I learned that I have to take up through Calc 3 to get my degree in it...and I'm terrible at math. xD So I'll stick to just regular programming...lol. Very informative article, though!
