What's with Jack & Tammi Smith? All They Want to Do is Find Missing Baby Gabriel Johnson?

The truth is sometimes difficult to find. No story has just one side or even just two sides. The truth is discovered and intuited by examining a multitude of sides from every direction through every person involved. In the middle of this particular multi-faceted story is missing baby Gabriel Johnson, who is now ten months old. His paternity is in question. His mother is in jail. His purported father is relocating to Texas while searching for him. And the couple who had hoped to adopt him- Jack and Tammi Peters Smith- are praying every day for his safe return. Up until the Smiths' lawyer told them to not talk to the news media, they kept the news media focused on the search for Baby Gabriel.

The Smiths have frequently expressed on their Facebook pages that they are hoping and praying for Gabriel/s return. According to CNN's Nancy Grace, the Smiths told her that they want to find Gabriel. When Elizabeth Johnson took Baby Gabriel from their Tempe Arizona home on December 18 2009 to San Antonio Texas, she did not know she was kidnapping her baby. As his mother, she thought she had the right to take him and to give him up for adoption- so that he could have a better life than either she or the man named on the baby's birth certificate, Logan McQueary, could give him.

Soon after Baby Gabriel went missing, on December 27 2009- and after the text messages and phone calls came out that Johnson said she had killed the baby- the public, for the most part, have hated Johnson, who is yet an unheard voice. And Scottsdale couple Jack and Tammi Smith cooperated with Law Enforcement, volunteered for polygraphs, offered to have their home searched, and went on Nancy Grace's show to talk about Baby Gabriel.

Internet rumors have shown that some of the public think the Scottsdale couple were not only paid to be on the show but paid a great deal of money. A source close to the Smiths says this is untrue- the Smiths were not paid for being the show. They refused the limousine service and drove themselves. When celebrities are making a fortune from selling photographs of their weddings or newborns to the news media's highest bidder, Jack and Tammi Smith gave away for free their personal family photos of Baby Gabriel- taken during the several days for which they had legal guardianship of the infant, for which they have the papers. Since Baby Gabriel went missing, the Smiths say they have refused to make one penny off this tragedy.

It's important for anyone wanting the truth- news media and public alike- to stay open-minded so that facts can be discerned from fiction.
