What's Keeping Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian from Marriage?

What exactly is the status of Kim Kardashian's and Reggie Bush's relationship?

During the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl run, the off again and on again couple reportedly made a bet that if Bush's team won the Super Bowl, he would propose to Kardashian and they would marry. While nobody really knew for sure how serious the bet was, the couple seemed to be closer than ever and a trip down the aisle would have in many ways seemed a next logical step.

We are now about five weeks past the Super Bowl and there has been no mention of an engagement ring. While in and of itself that may not mean much, a recent report in the New York Post that Bush was seen getting 'cozy' with a striking brunette at a birthday party for singer Robin Thicke is not a good sign.

While often an innocent conversation involving a celebrity at a party could take on greater meeting than it deserves, and it could very well be the case here, the conversation will only serve to add to the intrigue around the very high profile couple and their next move.

Bush and Kardashian were together for a time before breaking up and then reuniting.

Kardashian, before meeting Bush, was in a sex tape and her profile has actually only risen from there as she is one of the key figures on the hit television show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians". Her sister, Kholoe, is married to star basketball player Lamar Odom of the NBA Los Angeles Lakers.

Bush, as a star NFL running back who is now also a Super Bowl champion, is equally as high profile in his arena.

Both are very attractive, young and wealthy...the gossip and spotlight will follow them wherever they go, sometimes unfairly, perhaps, but often times serving to highlight whatever is truly there.

Perhaps before the start of the next NFL season, Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian will have announced to the world that they are engaged and planning a wedding.

Or perhaps, the lack of news on the engagement front, combined with the sighting of Bush 'talking up' an attractive woman at a party in New York City will be looked at as the first signs that this couple, in their second go around, were never going to make it to the chapel.
