The thing about me is that I get gritty, when people talking silly,
like their ass don't stink, put them in their place and make them stop and think.
Just who the hell they're talking to,
I'm hollering "What's my name, What's my name?"
Nina P and I'm taking the game,
going for fame,
Ya'll can't stop me, mane.
People trying to knock me,
but I'm a step ahead of the game.
I brush the dirt off my shoulders, like I'm Hova, mane.
people can't feel my pain,
I'm dying!
HIV trying to claim my veins,
I'm crying!
But I'm a solider,
determined to beat the claim.
that's why I sit in my room,
steady writing, fighting,
gotta get to the top for my daughters sake.
So she can live with the best,
with her heart in mine,
that girl's a dime and I love her!
This life is mine,
one life to live,
sure to make mistakes,
but they only make me stronger,
I'm built to last longer,
then time itself.
As time keeps ticking,
I'm counting my riches,
not money itself or the things it can buy,
but I'm grateful because I'm still alive.
Thankful that I'm not in Iraq,
where soliders are always dying,
leaving their families crying,
hoping that its just a dream.
They say fight for your country,
but what has this country done for me,
NOTHING!
but force me into the ghetto,
because the job market is down,
force me to fin the real way to fortune and fame,
force me to rely on the government for its help.
What has this country done for me, NOTHING!
But I shall rise again,
and when I do,
they wont be able to tame me,
cuz I'll be that strong,
stronger as superman,
stronger as the strongest woman or man God every created.
God in His infinite power has given me then strength to move on.
So when they force me into the ghetto,
I move out
And when they force me to search for another job,
I go to school, so now they are wondering,
WHAT's NEXT?
like their ass don't stink, put them in their place and make them stop and think.
Just who the hell they're talking to,
