These days it seems everyone in the world is connected to Facebook. Or everyone asks for your Facebook instead of a phone number. But why is this? Is it because it's a passing trend? I mean the site is very simple and plain? What is so great about it? It seems pretty boring in face. I think the fact that is works well with cell phone updates is the real reason behind the success of Facebook. I suppose it can be useful and it a good place to put your contacts, but I just don't see why it is so great. Maybe I need to watch that movie the Social Network to find out what is so magnificent about Facebook. Until next time, I'll see you online!

Post a CommentThere is nothing special about facebook, it's just an antisocial network. When we were in school our worth as a person was based on how popular you were, facebook just carried it over to a web page. Now children are thinking that the more friends they have on facebook is a reflection of their worth as a person. Not true. How can you possibly really know a thousand people, you can't. The social skills that we need to develope as we grow come from face to face communication, not wall to wall. I think that we as parents are doing our children a disservice by allowing facebook to be a major form of communication for our children. It seems that children and adults are becoming more antisocial everyday and facebook is one of the reasons for this.
