What's the Truth Behind Fort Hood Rampage?

SB
There are so many mysteries now to unfold behind yesterday's mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.

Initially the reports were saying suspect gunman Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was killed after shooting his 11th victim. Further complicating more, a defense official disclosed that 12 fatalities and 31others were wounded. How could this be possible if suspect got killed after shooting his 11th victim? Well, the only possible answer I could think of is that the victim # 12 eventually died, not on the spot but, along the way just didn't made it.

But, regardless of what the truth is, the mass shooting only proves how inefficient the U.S. Defense is. And their intelligence is poorly detrioratingSo poor that they can't even protect their men from their own backyard!

The released statement of President Barack Obama right after the rampage happened, shows how frustrated the Commander-in-Chief to the "horrific outburst of violence," as he exactly described it.

My previous article was based from preliminary reports of the US Defense, but after a few hours they retracted their statement, saying Hasan is alive; now ventilator but his condition is already stable.

The "angle" of a possible jihad, as the motive behind the mass shooting was also sighted in my previous article.

So, now let's take quick look on some red flags of the mass shooting.

***
What happened to security cameras of the base? Well, if there's any. Right now, defense can't even confirm anymore if it was just really Hasan who did the shooting himself.

AP reported that officials at Fort Hood initially thought one of the victims who had been shot and killed was the shooter. This mistake resulted to delays, identifying Hasan as the alleged assailant. Terrible!

***
Why the Army was blinded of Hasan's origin and religion? The Defense admitted they weren't aware if Hasan was converted to Islam at some point. Geez, louis!

***
What's the protocol of U.S Defense on mental screening? Did Hasan have undergone psychiatric, or any mental screening too? For if he did, chances are they could have seen his criminal tendencies.

I remember talking to a young Army official sometime early September. He's a Sergeant and a troop leader. They came from Iraq and went straight to Fort Hood for their mandatory mental screening at the Soldier's Readiness Center, prior them going back to their respective home.

My source revealed that aside from the actual screening in Texas, they have to assess one another's psychological condition (while they are still in Iraq) and they sit down all together for dialogue, to unload their emotional baggages and traumas of war and they're required to report it all when they get to Fort Hood.

But, is that mental screening mandatory too for the ones who are home based? Are the high ranking officials exempted?

What's the protocol?

Hasan peers were saying he argued with so many instances about wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Why they didn't brought all those instances to the higher ups, or to their immediate superiors, so it could have been corrected and that it could have been prevented for the bizarre outrage to happen.

As we sighted originally, sources are saying that Hasan was about to get deployed to Iraq and the shooting is his way of retaliating to his new assignment. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison confirmed this report.

"Hasan was scheduled to be deployed to Iraq "and appeared to be upset about that," Sen. Hutchison, R-Texas also told AP.

While some unconfirmed reports are also saying that Hasan and his parents were born Islam and that they never changed religion at all; contrary to most reports that the suspect just switched his religious belief sometime recently. And that the shooting could be the suspect's form of Jihad against the United States?

One soldier from Fort Hood who is a strong witness to the shooting revealed that Hasan shouted "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is great" in muslim.

His close comrades are very much aware of his strong opposition in getting detailed to Iraq, some of his families too.

But, why no one listened?

Again, regardless of what the truth is, it is such a big disgrace to the Army, to the U.S. defense!

If a tiny speck like this Fort Hood rampage can sneaked in to our "supposed-to-be" well-guarded security; how much more an organized terrorists' attack?

With this mass shooting, we shouldn't wonder anymore if another 9/11comes our way.

U.S. Defense should explain!

To date, 13 fatalities and 30 more others were wounded from this shooting rampage. Family of Hasan, had already publicly extended their sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.
