Whats Wrong with the World Today

Amber Hookway
Something must be done!!

Its injustice

It's not right

The father of three

Stumbling from a bar

The mother down the road

"Working late" pass one am

While her babies are waiting for her on a Monday night

The battered child across the street

Screaming for help, yet no one acts until it's to late

This is wrong

Something must be done!

Prostitutes are filling the streets

Temping fathers

Brainwashing youths with sex

Our schools aren't safe

Filled with drugs and violence

Something must be done!!

What marriage has last 10 years in the past 15 years?

Families broken up

Children growing up

Acting beyond their years

Something must be done!

America is going down hill

It's becoming unbalance

Our great civilization is crashing

From our individual passions

Our lives, our world is becoming something unwanted!

Something must be done!

Making executions

Pointing fingers

Whispering among themselves

ranting to each other

something must be done!

Yet no one steps to the plate,

they just stand there letting there so called "injustice " to go on

they sit in front of the tv reading the news paper

about all the "injustice" saying

"something must be done"

yet, there they sit, from their chair,

watching, and reading whispering

" what's wrong with the world to day "
