Whats New in Yahoo Mesenger 7.0 Final

Yahoo Messenger is a free service that allows and facilitates communication online with your friends with ease.

Yahoo Messenger 7.0 Beta was known to us for quite a while now and final version has been released.

So what is new and what is out from Yahoo Messenger 7.0

Here comes the complied list of newly added features..

1.Voice Messaging

Voice Messaging is talk of the town.As Soon as you installed Yahoo Messenger you will observe a new title 'Yahoo Messenger With Voice'.You can make PC to PC calls and leave voice messages in case you don`t receive a response.Believe me,creating a voice message is piece of cake.

2.Photo Sharing
Sharing a photo on YIM 7.0 is done with minimum effort.Drag and drop feature makes life easy.

3.File Sharing
File Sharing has become lot easier with drag and drop functionality.Transferring a 1 MB file should not be a problem.

4.Emoticons
You will notice new emoticons added to list.Old ones are also revamped.

5.Stability
The earlier Beta was prone to crashes and vulnerable to Booter attacks ( For Newbie netizens... Y! Tunnel is an easy-to-use program which provides additional features to Yahoo! Messenger in context to security and performance.)As analysed and tested final version did not show any signs of crashes.

6.Addition of New Tabs

A.)Buzz - This Tab summarizes the section of Yahoo called Yahoo Buzz! which consists of articles about latest happenings.

B.)Yahoo 360 - With Help of this Tab you can control your Yahoo 360 blog from the Yahoo messenger window itself.

7.Sharing Friends
You can share his/her contact list or a part of it through this feature of YIM 7.0. Also contacts from Outlook can be imported very easily.

8.Search
Search feature is addition to this version of yahoo messenger. There is a new feature called LiveWord which will highlight search words in your conversation, and the user can perform the search on a click.Found it very interesting.

Few things you may not like...

When you go on Help in Preferences page, the web url displayed is outdated.There are many features are not updated on this help page.

Emoticons keep losing their animation at randomly.You will animation stopped after sometime.Yet to found specific reason for this.

New emoticons introduced by the final version are not shown in previous version of yahoo messenger.This adds the confusion.

You cannot share files with people who are using older version of yahoo messenger.

Final Word...

Even with these bugs Yahoo Messenger 7.0 final seemed to be a pretty decent version of YIM.
