Wheat Thins Crunch Stix in Cinnanom Kick Flavor Review

Amy Brantley
I've been a fan of Wheat Thins for as long as I can remember. I was even a fan of the original Wheat Thins Crunch Stix. Naturally, when I was given the chance to try the latest flavors of Wheat Thins Crunch Stix, I couldn't wait. I decided to try the Cinnamon Kick flavor first as I was quite intrigued by the ingredients label, which listed dried jalapeno juice. Now, that's certainly a kick. But, it left me wondering if the flavor would be sweet or savory.

When I first bit into the snack, I was reminded of cinnamon toast. The cinnamon flavor was quite bold and the crunch of the snack was perfect. What I also noticed was there was a bit of a kick in the back of my throat. It wasn't overwhelming by any means or what I would call hot. Instead it was a pleasant sensation. I was also happy to detect a slight sweetness that complimented the cinnamon flavor without distracting from it. Overall, the flavor and texture made this snack irresistible.

A serving of Wheat Thins Crunch Stix in the Cinnamon Kick flavor is 14 pieces. This size serving contains 130 calories, 4 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 0mg of cholesterol, 160mg of sodium, 22 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein. For my fellow Weight Watchers members that's a PointsPlus value of 4.

I would give this snack 5 out of 5 stars. Not only is the flavor combination perfect, but combined with the texture this snack is hard to put down. I especially enjoyed the slight hint of heat that the dried jalapeno juice added, but was even more pleased that the snack remained sweet, rather than savory. These are great on their own, but I think they would also be great served with ice cream or even peanut butter. There is so much you could do with this snack. Best of all, Wheat Thins products are made with whole grains so you can feel good about feeding these to your children as a quick snack.
