The package definitely stands out in a crowd. Instead of a traditional square box shape, it resembles a take out container from a Chinese restaurant. I loved how unique the packaging was. The front pictures two cracker sticks that are breaking in half and bursting with flavor. In addition to the great presentation, I appreciated that an eight ounce box cost me only $1.99. The same serving of calorie laden chips or cheese snacks would have cost just the same if not more and contained significantly more calories.
One fourteen piece serving contains only one hundred and thirty calories. There is four grams of Fat, with only point five grams of Saturated Fat. There is no Trans Fat or Cholesterol in these snack crackers. However, this serving size does contain one hundred and ninety milligrams of Sodium. This product offers some dietary advantages as well. Seventy milligrams of Potassium, two grams of Dietary Fiber and two grams The best part about snacking on these crackers is that eleven grams of Whole Grains is consumed with each serving. While this product would still not fall into a health food category, it is comforting to know that a bit of important nutrients is gained from indulging.
From the first bite, I was absolutely thrilled with these snacks. The sticks are heavily seasoned with onion, garlic, turmeric, paprika and dried tomato. The blend of spices make each cracker a tasty treat. There is no need for cheese or dip to accompany these snacks. They stand up quite well on their own. Low calorie breads or crackers can quickly become high fat munchies when paired with additional items. This is definitely not a worry here. The intense flavor of each and every stick makes them a perfectly satisfying snack with nothing added to them.
I definitely plan on purchasing Wheat Thins Fire Roasted Tomato Stix again. They are packed with a wonderfully spicy tomato flavoring, and add a bit of necessary grains and fiber to my diet. One serving size comes in under one hundred and fifty calories and is satisfying enough to cure an attack of the munchies. Very few snack foods can make that same claim. This snack food gets a full five star food rating from this happy consumer.
