And in Heaven there's a celebration
When another soul is saved
From becoming satan's slave
Christ died upon the cross
To save lives from being eternally lost
satan enslaves us in a life of sin
Telling us, that we can never be clean again
But satan, leaves a few things out
There are truths,he'd rather you not know about
Like, how Christ our Savior died for us
And how he took that beating, without a fuss
He could have begged saying, "Father let me live"
But instead, he took it and said, "Father forgive"
Christ died on that cross, for us, so we...
Could be cleansed by his blood,to set our souls free
Free, from satan's imprisoning hold
Free from his mind and body control
Like a newborn babe, starting anew
God wipes the slate clean, for me and you
He gives assurance, that no matter what we've done
It won't be held against us if we accept his son
Invite him into your heart, and turn away from sin
Your life will be better, than it has ever been!!!

Post a CommentNance, the more I read your poems the more it makes me think that there are many things I need to change, there are many things I need to do, and many things I need to say. The first is getting back on the right track with GOD and his teachings. Every day I say, I need to do this or that and then don't follow through. Well, I wasn't raised that way as you know--so it's time to get my act back in gear!!! Thanks, sis, for the uplifting words you deliver time and again. GOD lets his light shine through others so that he can reach many!!! Hope everything is all right with Desty tell her we are praying for her and to be careful. I love you. Your big sis
What wonderful work! Very inspirational.
Well, Nancie, you have a D.L. Moody sermon in this poem! You said everything anyone needs to know. You know, the only place our past stays alive is in OUR OWN MINDS. It's like when we bring it up again and ask God, once again, for forgiveness, He says, "Huh?" (I realize He's more articulate than that, but the thought of Him saying "Huh?" just makes the point. He doesn't remember them! Isn't that wonderful?
Amen to this and simply beautiful piece of art here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely true. Thanks for the great words~
