When it Comes to Sports, Listen to Your Mother
Neuheisel or NewWeasel, College Bowls and Playoffs, Flag Happy in the Sun Bowl, Mama's Reviews and Predictions
Rick Neuheisel prediction: NeuWeasel will keep it clean for a couple of years...he will garner a few of those Southern Cal boys, but most will want to play for Pete or the fun, fun, fun of Oregon's spread offense. His ego will get huge after a couple of years in either the #1 or #2 spot in the pac ten. Yes, he IS going to turn it around, but his arrogant and "I'm above it all" attitude will get the better of him, and he'll blow it in recruiting. Everyone is looking to the Washinton vs UCLA?! How about UCLA vs Oregon...no love lost there either.
MAMA thinks USC could lose. Pete is a great coach, and they have the talent and swagger. They still love their stars, and Illinois will pull together as a TEAM, and that is the intangible. Look what they did to Ohio State..that was teamwork and unity. Hey, Stanford beat 'em, as well as Oregon. Mama thinks that the team that pulls together will win.
Speaking of Oregon....nobody gave 'em a chance since Dixon went down, but Mama did. This was a crush, and if Belotti wasn't such a gentleman, it would have been a lot worse. And all those flags!! Mama thinks that the officiating crew has judge Ito syndrome...just have to get their mugs on national TV. We're hoping the best for Stewart, Others in the PAC 10 and the nation are hoping he'll go pro, because the Ducks have RELOADED, and they will be back in the hunt next year. Mama predicts Gameday will be visiting Autzen again next year.
West Virginia will have to go some to beat the Stoops show, but it's possible. Stoops might be a little too arrogant. It's back to the unity thing. Then it's Virginia Tech and Rutgers in the winners circle.

I applaud the Colts for resting their starters week 17, and not bowing to the pressure of all you media types. The Brownies had their chance in week 16 against Cinci, and blew it big time, they can only blame themselves. This week, the Colts beat the Bolts by 17 -- mark it down Mama!
