When Falling

Buddy Reed
When falling head over heels,
For direct or inevitably indirect intentions,
You must first land on you knees,
Creating intense pain, deep chills.
Chills as cold as December rain on a chilly day.
Yet soon after a feeling so grand,
It hits you with the force of hurricane winds.
You've fallen in love, yet once again.
In this land of mist, confusion so bright.
Your blind to the pains you once felt.
Loss of fear in the eyes of beauty,
But is it true, or seductively corrupt as the last?
Spiritual views both coherent to one.
They appear as a spider,
crawling
away from the homicidal hammer of loneliness.
When falling head over heels,
One becomes happy for reasons unknown.
Like an attraction that defies the law,
They are drawn together on a collision course.
Traveling at unfathomable speeds,
The floor meets knees first,
When falling head over heels.
