Nick was removing the severed chicken head from the corpse's mouth, as it burst from the closet. The gray-skinned demon crashed around the room and climbed into a high corner, using its three muscular arms. The thing was like a land-squid, its appendages surrounding a blind, sharp-fanged maw. The sight drove Nick Harlan insane.
