The former President may be living quietly here in Dallas now, but that doesn't mean liberals have stopped hating him. Now, count among their number pseudo-intellectual Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy. The former keeper of the caterpillar mustache usually refrains from political commentary on his show, but he lets his bias pop up in the most unusual places. Trebek was hosting the Geography Bee, which was won by Eric Yang, a student from The Colony, Texas, and asked the teen what he thought his biggest fault was. When Yang couldn't name anything, the talking head said "That's OK, you remind me of a former president, but we won't get into that."
Of course, Trebek was referring to a press conference moment when the former President struggled to find naming a fault that the pit bulls in the liberal media wouldn't pounce on like a tiny poodle. Though Bush was trying to be earnest and provide a heartfelt answer, the media portrayed it as yet another example of his arrogance.
One wonders how Trebek, or the media for that matter, would treat President Barack Obama in the same situation. Even when Obama makes arrogant statements, the media chooses to characterize him as confident. Of course, he does tend to have that teleprompter nearby to lean on.
If this had been an episode of Jeopardy, I wouldn't have cared, but for a non-political youth event like a geography bee, it is highly improper and unprofessional. Trebek can't seem to regulate the hate it seems, and lets it boil over in odd places. Perhaps Trebek would be better off sticking to reading questions off of cards, and go back to being forgettable.

Post a CommentYeah, that Trebek is quite the liberal, ain't he? You do know that he's a conservative and has done a number of fundraisers for republicans right? But because he has the nerve to call an idiot an idiot, he must be a frothing liberal. Get a clue.
