When "Love" and "Like" Get All Mixed Up

Sometimes the people we care the most about just want to be friends, and I've learned that there's no use in trying to persuade them, because short of swooning, nothing seems to get a guy to change his mind. Once you're pegged as a friend, and they don't see you romantically, then, even if you were daydreaming about playing house with him. It doesn't work.

I'd say the worse thing about relationships these days, is either they want to be your friend, or they just want sex. And I'd rather be a friend than just have sex. This one guy was interested in me, but didn't even bother to ask me out, so he was being nice to me and it's been eight months. And we haven't even gone on a date and he wanted to have sex. Whoa there buddy. Where'd you grow up? Under a rock?

Now if you're like me and was planning to wait till marriage, this isn't working, for me. So you know what, as tempting as being called a six foot virgin is as a nickname, I think I'll have to go on my first instinct and tell him to shove it. I'm only five eight and its none of his business. I never said I liked him in the first place.

Now that I'm sick of the whole relationship game, I'm focusing on my writing. And come what may, I love writing. And have had a lot of great friendships. And I've seen a lot of heartache a little sinning can cause. This one girl was twenty five and thought she couldn't get pregnant so a one night stand turned into a miracle love child. And I don't know if she ever married the dude, but she could have taken better care of her health. She wanted to help people but she was smoking while pregnant. Not a very good choice for the baby.

I guess you can be big hearted, with out a lot of common sense. Every time I get involved with a guy, as a friend, I want more, and they just can't find it in their hearts to love me. And so, I'm just a friend. And get steam rolled over by some guy that I care so much about, but he doesn't want to take the hint.

But at least I have the self respect not to immediately sleep with a guy who puts the moves on me, as the previous illustration shows. I remember reading in the bible about a little talked about part I think it was in Ezekiel, about two young sisters who were prostitutes at a young age and how they lusted after all these men and were murdered. That was a lot of lusting. So I guess there's always someone who does what they love. Pun intended.

But even if you don't get paid for sex, lusting is an abomination to God, it is a deadly sin. Multiple partners breaks his heart. And even though some people get their kicks from living large and then becoming a Christian and blabbering about it to others, I'd say, I'm glad I'm waiting and the girl I know that had a lot of partners and then wanted to become a church leader is really bad at relationships with guys.
